Your guitar and why it is awesome

So, pretty self explanatory. Post your guitars (pics if you feel like it, but not required) and prove why they are awesome. It can be acoustic, electric, carved from the wood of George Washington's cherry tree, whatever, just proove that it is awesome. Let's see what kind of gear the Escapist is rockin out with!

I personally own 2 SG's and a "Frankenstrat" that I have modified to the point of being almost unrecognizeable.
My first SG is a Cherry Red 2010 Gibson standard, and it is awesome for all the reasons you would expect, mainly being that it's the main axe of AC/DC, Black Sabbath, and Budgie. Plus, something about holding it just makes you feel badass. My friend was playing it through a Marshall halfstack at his house and it broke the string of a guitar across the room, proving its badassery.

My second SG is an Epiphone 1961 Les Paul Custom model. Its based of the rediculously expensive 3 pickup Gibson SG, and is black and white with Gold hardware. It sounds like a wierd hybrid between an SG and a Les Paul due to the third pickup, and plays almost exactly like a Gibson. Whenever I do lessons or play live, I usually play it, since its super versatile and just has such a cool sound.

And finally, the Frankenstrat. I have no idea what it was before I got it, but whoever owned it did not know what a guitar was. It was covered in duct tape, had red koolaide stains all over it (I hope to god it was koolaide) and had carved all sorts of obscene words and symbols into the neck that if I were to type them would get me perma banned. I rebuilt and restored the guitar myself at the guitar store that I helped out at, and eventually the owner let me buy it for 40 bucks. I eventually ended up sticking some Jackson King V humbuckers in it, and have replaced almost every crappy part with something awesome. I use it as my metal guitar, and every time I play it in public it turns heads (although maybe not in a good way lol)

It's an ESP LTD AX-50 that I got a few years ago.

I also have a few acoustics and I used to have a Silvertone bass guitar.

EDIT: Just an FYI, I barely ever play my guitar. I'm pretty terrible at it because I don't practice enough. I can play stuff like Metallica's "Enter Sandman", Black Sabbath's "Iron Man", Evergreen Terrace's "Mad World", and Rob Zombie's "What?" though.

I got mine used. It was a legit Fender Strat (not sure what year, no way to tell,) but it's got a Squier Telecaster neck. Anyway, it's a "fat Strat," meaning it has a humbucker and two single pickups. The singles are just the regular Fenders that came with it, but the humbucker is a Seymour-Duncan I installed myself.

The beauty of this guitar is that I'm not finished yet. I'm going to install some Lace pickups (a deathbucker in the hum spot, and Lace sensors in the single spots,) and then I'm going to have a custom pickguard made.

All in all, great guitar, especially for what I paid for it. The real shining star is the neck, which despite being cheap, is fantastic.

It's awesome because I made it myself (you can tell because it's horribly painted and has a weird texture)

Nothing quite matches a strat with humbuckers for pure agressive tone. They're very close to the sound of an SG from what I've found, however what you have in mind for your guitar is just pure badassery in its most purest form. That thing will probably end up running most custom made metal guitars out of the room, and it'll be completely unique. Thats why I like my Frankenstrat so much. You can love it or hate it, but you have to admit, theres not another one like it

I have 4 guitars and 1 bass as of now, personally and I love each of them for different reasons.

My first guitar was a Gibson LP. Awesome for a first guitar, I know but it was my dad's and he gave it to me. Lovely guitar and a beautiful sound. Not sure what year or exact model it is but it's probably my most well rounded guitar that I use the most.

My second was a more metal oriented Ibanez RG150DX that I like a lot but it's really only good for one style. It's nice and all and I'm glad to have it (it also looks amazing) but other than straight metal, it isn't really that great but it plays metal like a fucking monster.

The third I have is an Epiphone Casino which I amazingly found used for around 200 dollars in great shape. And surprisingly, it has great range for a large hollow body and it's probably my second most used guitar of anything I have next to the LP.

Then my fourth guitar is a Fender Telecaster custom which I had made with EMG pickups and a Strat headstock. Love the tele body of it and the EMGs make it perfect for a darker metal sound and since I love to fuck with different tunings, the style is near perfect for me. Though, since I enjoy a wide variety of play styles, I don't use it quite as much as the others.

And my bass is just a basic jazz style SX with a bell and handrest. Nothing special about it but it's quite fun to mess around with :3

My electric is a Behringer Strat-knockoff that I hardly ever use, and is therefore uninteresting to talk about.

My acoustic is a Gibson Epiphone. It's a fairly unremarkable design, and scratched and dented. It's awesome because it's what I used to sing my little girl to sleep at night when she was a newborn.

Well my Warlock guitar is in the shop right now, so

I will show an image of my NJ series Warlock Bass which has been with me for almost 20 years.

Its just the back of it, and Ive recently cleared off a few stickers because I am prepping to repaint it with the only "sticker" that will survive the transition is the thrill kill sticker. (which btw yes is representative of the finished but never released PSX fighting game of the same name.)

Right now, I'm playing a PRS SE Singlecut, because I'm too poor to afford a MIA PRS.

She might've been made in Korea, but she's a lovely guitar.

Playing through a 15w Egnater Tweaker, really versatile tube amp, especially considering its price.

I've had a few guitars. Currently I play an Ibanez ART500. Sorry for lack of picture, my avatar is the best I can do.

50th Anniversary Fender Stratocaster
It's such a enjoy to play.

I also have a Greg Bennett design & Peavey Millennium BXP.

My father had a Gibson Les Paul Custom but he gave it to his friend. I got to play it a few times.
