^Thread title.

Not necessarily specific to beating a game, but maybe something within the game. For instance, beating the entirity of RE1 with just the knife. I'm just curious what people felt truely challenged by, and proud of themselves for completing. I used to think doing the Real Time achievement in FEAR was one of the roughest I've ever done, but I just did The Real Deal in L4D2. (Realism Expert a campaign) Holy sweet mother of god that is borderline insanity inducing. So yeah, just did that, now I wanna know what everyone else has done.

For me it has been completing the Jurassic Park game for the SNES as a kid. But as of recent, like you brought up, it was beating Dark Carnival on L4D 2 on Expert Realism. Not only do I feel it is the toughest official campaign I have played (Rollercoaster run and the Hallway of death with infinite horde spawn) all 4 of us got the gnome achievement as well, me carrying the damn thing the whole way through.

Took us a solid 4 hours to complete... I will never do it again... ever.

Hmm. Either beating the hardest levels on Trials HD, or beating Postal 2 without killing or hurting anyone. Yeah, both are hard as hell.

And I haven't really beaten Postal 2 like that yet. I have Friday left. But I have a good stash of crack pipes and Catnip, so I think I'll manage when I have time to do it. (That only makes sense if you have played Postal 2)

Completing 'Super Smash TV' on the SNES on all difficulties and getting all the keys to unlock the secret prize room at the end. You think L4D has got Hoardes? lol

And man, i wish i had a PC that ran Postal 2 well enough when i had that game.

Heh, Postal is the one game my mother never let me play, not because she thought it was going to turn me into a serial killer, but simply because of what she said was "The game was pointlessly violent and outright stupid" which you have to agree on.

I guess beating CoD 4 on veteran difficulty. That took me a while.

Also perfecting a round against my "mentor" in Street Fighter IV. Proud, proud moment.

I'd have to say fighting the urge to use the unlimited ammo or invinciable cheat in the orignal Doom. I have not beaten it thus far in my 19 years of life on the hardest level and no cheats yet.

I suppose earning the Big Boss emblem in MGS4 was kind of a big deal, but I feel like I've done harder stuff than that playing early-generation console games.

Beat Xbox Ninja Gaiden on Very Hard. Had to restock everything after every boss fight, so the game took about 5 times longer to complete than it should, but here I am, standing at the pinnacle of one of the hardest games ever made.

Done, son.
