I don't know how many people played Lost Odyssey, but that game is the best JRPG I've ever played. It was absolutely amazing, and had me close to tears on a number of occasions.

There are a lot of games that I have not played and would love to try out.

But there are also plenty of games that are hidden away, begging to be played, that didnt get the spotlight they probably deserved.

I want to know what your hidden gems are! The hidden games, the lesser known titles, that you adore and think deserve more recognition!
daggerfall and battlespire. try daggerfall first.

Majesty and, to a lesser extent, Majesty 2

A unique twist on the RTS genre. They can be a bit aggravating at times, but I had loads of fun.

Very, very much the original game! It's one of my all-time favourites. I even have the official strategy guide with all the background lore only glimpsed at in the game proper.

Hated the sequel, though. Gameplay was worse, heroes were more generic, lore made me weep (I'll spare you my rants concerning Lunord), and at least the original had some dignity along with the goofiness.

If you're into RPGs, Radiant Historia is a great classical-style RPG. A very easy one, but with some lovely visuals and one of the best musical scores on the DS. It's not *quite* as good as Chrono Trigger story-wise though they still take their time-travel story in an interesting direction.

Ghost Trick had the limelight for a little while, but after its launch it seemed to fade into obscurity. I blame Capcom for not printing enough copies of this game, because it seems like a hard find. The release date seemed botched, too, as I actually had to wait a couple days after the release for the game to actually arrive at my local EBGames. Again, a visually stunning DS game with time travel, but this game happens to be more of an action-puzzler with a great story attached.

And again with the DS... Rune Factory 3. Skip 1 and 2 and come straight here. A dungeon crawler-farming sim hybrid by Marvelous. This particular installment just feels solid, where everything you do is useful to your character. There is very little grind and the game just felt well-paced. Rune Factory Frontier on the Wii has grindier elements but I think its combat was a little more fun because of the scale of the game, and I actually *liked* how hard it was to raise a girl's affections. Either way, both of these games offer a lot to do and will easily top 40+ hours each (Frontier actually broke the 100 hour mark for me). I can't say much about Rune Factory Tides of Destiny (Wii) which is actually the most recent installment but a friend of mine is addicted to it.

Point and click, horror themed adventure game similar to Silent Hill, Darkseed.

Shadow of Memories on PS2. Intriguing yet bizarre storyline (try to stop your own death) but quite clever in it's own way.

Fully agree with you there.

OT, I personally think that the Resident Evil Outbreak games are quite under-rated, especially since it's the last form of classic Resident Evil gameplay.
But if you play them, you'd better be a patient individual, because the loading times are quite long.
Oh yeah and also Outbreak File 2 had a FREAKING ZOMBIE ELEPHANT!

The best games that no body bought! They are Gamecube games but you can play them on the Wii if thats easier.

I always thought Blast Corps, Vigilante 8, and War Of The Monsters were some fun games could use more love. Not masterpiece quality, but fun.
Vigilante 8 is the reason I still have my Dreamcast. ^_^
