your highlights of 2010

[Atmos Duality]

On the gaming side: Found, played, and finally beat a mediocre 3DO PC game. Nostalgia was conquered. Nothing much else was noteworthy.
So...nitpicking: I played Mass Effect 2 and found out how completely worthless my PSP has become as a viable platform save for maybe two games.

In real life: 2010 is quite possibly the worst year of my life, and I do not say that lightly.
Several family deaths (with more on the way, like as not), and a few close calls myself combined with near-total depression made for a fucking horrible year. Nothing is worse than (incorrectly) thinking how fucking pointless your existence is in all things.

The best things to happen all year include getting a new futon (and ditching the ghetto bed) and...that's all that I can honestly think of right now. Joining the Escapist?

Hosting shows on the radio
Being in a few remote shows with the crew at my radio station (like Santa Claus parades and Halloween parties for kids)
Hearing my own voice on the radio in a Halloween commercial
Doing 300 metre sprints at night as part of training for boxing
Winning a silver medal (and a black eye) at a martial arts competition
Getting interviewed about mixed martial arts
Various sessions of sparring in boxing
Going rock climbing
Having a friend over and playing 2v2 matches of Starcraft 2 together

Only kidding! Getting a girlfriend was the biggest highlight, then getting 7 A*s and 3 As in my GCSEs was probably the other big one..

Heading to Chicago, Illinois to meet with my awesome friends for the first time in 4-5 years and spending two weeks having the most fun of the year.

Average year. Ditched an abusive situation. Broke up with my fiancee [those two aren't connected], uncle dropped dead on my birthday, average year.

Probably my trip to Japan (although that technically started in 2009) and getting my bachelor's degree in psychology.

Oh and managing not to screw up my relationship, that's a big one.

I hate to piss on everyones parade, but I've had an utterly lacklusture year. Its hard to think of any real highlights.

The only things that instantly spring to mind is going to see football matches with my old man, really enjoyed doing that this year.

Thats pretty much it.
