It either started with Metal Gear Solid 3 by Chip Cheezum and General Ironicus(Cant get enough of those two, they never fail to make me laugh) or Silent Hill 1 by Agentjr. I cant remember correctly though.

Right now I'm making a LP of Aragorn's Quest for PS3 with my buddy. The game is so bad, so there's lots of material. I think it's all funny, but that's because it's my sense of humor, I'm not sure if anyone else will like it.

OT: Love them. Can't remember the first one I watched... but as I said earlier I'm currently doing a LP of Aragorn's Quest.

Right now I'm making a LP of Aragorn's Quest for PS3 with my buddy. The game is so bad, so there's lots of material. I think it's all funny, but that's because it's my sense of humor, I'm not sure if anyone else will like it.

I love that kind of LP. With all the people who LP so-called "perfect games" like Portal or Half-Life, the concept becomes a bit stale. I find it much more interesting when someone LP's something like Homefront or the Cartel, games that have some truly awful design choices that give a good LP'er something to talk about during the slower moments of gameplay.

And as stated before, toss me a link and I'll give the LP a watch

I Might do so, though the first few episodes aren't voiced since they were tutorial videos and I didn't have much to say during them, so I didn't bother. though the Main game playthrough will be voiced.

One day I saw an episode of Chuggaaconroy's wind waker lp on the front page of youtube. Since I never played the game but was becoming a zelda fan at the time I decided to watch and I have been watching him ever since. When he introduced the run away guys along with Proton Jon and NCS I began watching Jon's lps of rom hacks and superman 64.

I've still got some editing to do before theyre ready (plus we filmed a screen, didnt use capturing software so it looks crummy) but right now we have about 3 hours of recorded playing, so all I have to do now is iron out some kinks and there should be plenty to watch as we finish the game


Although we can never seem to stop getting caught up in Rainbow Six...

Chuggaconroy has been very helpful in guiding me through games, though I started by watching s Lets Play of I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream.

I think the first proper LP-er I watched was a guy named Classic Team. After that was SSoH, I think.

but now it's azuritereactions and pewdie pie at the moment and the runaway guys while waiting till next part of superman 64 lp besides seeing azurite getting scared is priceless

It started with a friend telling me to watch ProtonJon's Kaizo Mario World videos, and snowballed from there. Now, Let's Plays are pretty much the only thing I watch on YouTube.

I believe I started watching the yogscast first season of minecraft because a friend recommended it, then I went on to the Magicka playthrough with TotalBiscuit, and from there I kinda stopped watching Yogscast and now I am watching OmfgCata whenever I want to see a playthrough

also stumbled across quill18 somewhere along the way, and I really like his strategy game playthroughs =)


Though I rarely watch lets plays anymore, since I prefer playing myself, and maybe just watch the few first episodes of a lets play before I buy the game. So now it is mostly just news and such =)

Heh, you sound like me; I'm having a pretty good time playing, I'm just not sure anyone watching is =P

The game is Prince of Persia: Sands of Time btw; played it ten or so years ago on the PS2 so it's a bit of a nostalgia trip. Might do the rest of the series just for the hell of it as I've got the whole shebang on Steam. PROJECT!

Achievement Hunter's Lets Play of Worms for the XBLA is what got me watching the rest of them. I watched because I like Worms and I'd enjoyed previous crap AH had released. The fact none of them can play well, not to mention their not so friendly banter, makes the experience very enjoyable.

I forget whether it was an episode of Chuggaconroy's LP of Wind Waker or DarkSydePhil's playthrough of Heavy Rain, because I found the two at roughly the same time.

There are a handful of LPers I follow regularly like the three RunawayGuys and a couple Team Fortress 2 commentators, and some others I watch occasionally like DarkSydePhil and Maximilian(Miles923) and various griefers across multiple games.

Been dabbling into the idea of streaming myself. A couple of my buddies mess around on certain games.

Sorry... I really do NOT get the whole purpose of lets play. If I wanted to see a game played, I would play it. I can honestly see no purpose of needing commentary by random people.

Such a bizarre thing to me, Really.

Reasons differ but for me it's about Comedy. Some of my favorite LP's have been of Bad games and their reactions to it.

I started when my cousin was looking up videos for the original Spyro The Dragon. He found a small time guy called RoundTheWheel. I started watching his videos and still do. That threw me into guys like Marriland and Chuggaa's Pokemon Let's Plays. Then I found my current favorite, BikdipOnABus.
