Mine was like "Holy shit this games multiplayer sucks balls," once I completed the four hour single player so I proceeded to trade it in.

I said it yesterday, and I will say it again. I was 24/15 for a nuke, then a barrel blew up next to me and I died. HOLY SHIT THAT FUCKING SUCKS
this has happened to me so many times
Hardline, it is useful.

My moment was online, I was lying prone on Skidrow, the whole team came towards me, I killed the first three, stood up, flashed them, knifed another and fragged the others. Then I killed them all again with my Harrier airstrike only 3 minutes later. It was a good day.

I'd purposely not read any of the spoilers or hype about this game before buying it, so I was totally in the dark as to what the story was going to be. Therefor, I have multiple "holy shit" moments...

1: Omg Soap had a mo'?!
2: A true sense of hopelessness during "No Russian"
3: I can't believe I'm playing a mission entirely about defending Burger King...
4: Holy shit it's Price! FUCKIN' A!
5: FUCK YOU SHEPARD! FUCK YOU! I HOPE YOU GET STABBED!
6: On the oil rig mission..."Damn that guard got owned..."
7: Final mission's climax, in it's entirety (with reference to #5). I literally stood up and yelled at my TV (to the concern of my dog) "I TOLD YOU YOU ASSHOLE!"

8: Pretty much everything about the game took my breath away. Easily the best single player experience of the year for me (and if you don't agree then you obviously weren't paying much attention) and the best shooter I have ever played.

PS: I own the game on Xbox 360, so if you're a PC elitist then by all means...keep your opinion to yourself, because it's the only place it belongs.

Hmm... There've been a few of these...

The first time I was playing the campaign mode and finished the mission where you have to get into the building that's on the map "Estate". I didn't want to bother with spoiler tags there, but I'm sure pretty much everyone already knows what happens... I stood up and felt like throwing the controller at the TV.
I have spent more time trying to finish this on veteran than i have on the rest of the campaign. i STILL havent finished it.

And i think mine was in the white house fighting through the west wing. It just felt so damn intense and gave me a huge adrenaline rush.
Easiest way to finish it after you've got the DSM, you go upstairs until Gaz goes out the front door and then jump out the window in the room facing down the hill, after that you have to sprint like hell, don't turn around and fight, go to the left of the lake and take cover behind the bales of hay on your way down.

It's difficult, but possible.

Actually, the story makes perfect sense; just makes you think a bit more than MW did.
*gasp* THINKING?! what, and hurt the eight year-olds brains? I thought they would get michael bay in this to dumb it down for them, but I guess I was wrong.
Aye, that's true...

But stilll, it does make perfect sense.

I got a huge 'HOLY SHIT THAT WAS AWESOME' moment every time Soap counted down and we simultaneously head-shotted two Russians.

People of The Escapist what is your "Holy Sh*t moment" in Modern Warfare 2?
When I looked at my score at the end of my first round using just a tac-knifed USP.45 and throwing knives. Scavenger helps a lot with the latter.

30-0. Ooooh yeah.

Just wish I had nuke selected.

Various other situations involving knives, and clearing out groups of 5 or more people before they can even get a shot off. Throw in a stun grenade, run in, chuck your knife first, then knife everyone else. Laugh as they all try and track you in vain slow-motion. If anyone else comes in or is just that little bit too far away to knife, then use a throwing knife.

Tell you what, though, if you want to get good with throwing knives, make this class and persevere:

Riot Shield.
Pistol (with tactical knife, if possible.)
Special grenade of your choice. I use stun or smoke.
Throwin knife.
Scavenger Pro -> Lots of throwing knives, as long as you keep killing.
Lightweight Pro -> Makes you melee lunge faster, and generally do everything a little bit quicker. Plus you raise your shield quicker after sprinting.
Commando Pro -> Extra range on your melee (About 6 feet), and no falling damage. Lets you hide up high then jump down to knife.

Using this, your only method of ranged attack whilst staying protected is to use your throwing knife from behind your shield.

Sometimes going knifey works really well, other times I get owned, so I tend to keep an M14 as backup with a thermal scope. Also gives me a ghillie.

To be honest, none of the single player really impressed me.

Hm... Probably the time I single-handedly turned around a match of Domination on Invasion. We were losing 84 to 143. Apparently me running around with My Dual Rangers shooting everything that moves was enough of a distraction to get my team out from defending A and try and take the others over.

Holy shit, a whole bunch of spoilers. Seriously though, there were so many things that blew me away in that game, and they're all story related. For example,
Holy shit, Captain Price is alive
Holy shit, The Predatyor is sooo awesome
Holy shit, I'm in space
Holy shit, The Gulag level is exactly like the 1996 movie The Rock, my favorite movie of all-time
Holy shit, Sheppard betrayed us
Holy shit, a knife to the eye
I love this fucking game.

My H*ly shit moment was when Robert Bowling said that there was gonna be no Dedicated servers D:

We grew up with dedicated servers, if there was a true reason to use Listen servers like in borderlands then i would be fine, but there isn't!!!
They just want to copy paste the version from console so much. IWnet is a lie. Whatever happened to be thrown together and then called IWnet was just a simple system they made in under a month

F*ck Infinity Ward. F*ck Activision. F*ck IWnet. F*ck these lazy freaking Developers
On another point what tard on the team thought, "Hey you awesome players, your playing awesome, here, have helicopters and nukes and airstrikes and all that, so you can camp the not so great players. And now, you can control those bomb shelling, minigunning vehicles, as if to make them less overpowered.

The reason you guys can't see how shit it is is because you are good at it.

Stop acting like this game made a major improvement on FPS's, or contributed to the genre at all. Pro perks! WTF is that shit, i mean, they weren't majorly helpful and/or overpowered enough already!!

In summary, the reason it looks so good is because it makes you so powerful you just take it in and go f*ck yer, it must be my skill. It's not, take a peel of the top layer and look at all the bonuses they slam on your guy, and then even more bonuses as you kill people
And then as a cock slap they say, "it's balanced"
HA!
ps. i own at multiplayer in near all games i play, 4th prestige rank65 Cod5, rank55 Cod4, all weapons unlocked for classes on TF2, and so on and on a bunch of other games i can't remember
i was about to make my own post similar to this.
i had the moment the instant i heard of this, and promptly resolved to never buy this game, or any more CoD games (which is kind of a pity, as i have enjoyed all of them up to this point.

Once, in an online game, I got a ten kill streak(I had the AC130) just for the match to end when I had my sights on another guy. I also once was a sniper with the AOC scope, trying to get thermal, on high rise, I was up on one of the top ledges sniping, when pretty much the entire enemy team ran in, I took out for and then the two or three remaining through Semtex and stuck me.

Every plot twist that come around.

And of course: "Holy shit, why did IW butcher the PC-version! You were one of my favourite developers, damnit!"

Spoiler tags away!
Wasn't that really obvious that he would resurrect since he have been in every IW title?
