I don't believe in heaven and hell. They're nice ideas, but completely illogical and.. well, wrong. Not to offend any Christians, Hindus, what have you, but yeah.

I like the idea of reinkarnation. I don't believe in it, but it's a nice idea. I think that's what I'd choose if I had to pick something to do after I die.
hindus believe in "reincarnation" too.

I really do hope theres heaven.
If nothing happens, how boring would that be.
Some believe theres just nothing
others believe you just dont exist, and its hard to comprehend that becuase i have no idea how not existing would feel....

I always thought that when you die, all your senses die along with your body and you're left completely to your own thoughts. Pure, un-diluted thought about the life you led and the meaning of it all.

If you did horrible things in life, you'd be left with eternity to regret doing those things. You'd make your own heaven or hell.

Now see, I knew it was reincarnation, but then I thought of karma, and that completely fucked my shit up.
what dont like karma? anyway if you are really striving for an afterlife just believ in what this guy believes http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q95kX_EP2Nk

Well personally, I hope I get to go to Valhalla
Valhalla? Damnit, I totally forgot about that place. That and Helheim. But Helheim sucks,Valhalla sounds fun though. Infinite years of mead and combat, for the low low price of dying painfully in battle!
And Wenches. Don't forget the Wenches.
Lots and lots of wenches, haha. Yeah, Valhalla seems like a nice place, but wouldn't you want to take over as God in your own personal universe? I mean, that's a nice thought.

Where do the wenches come from? Were they warriors who made it to Valhalla, do pretty women get a free trip, or are they pseudo-wenches created by the realm?

I think that we die, boom, dead, no soul, no heaven, no hell. However, I also believe that something lingers... some kind of... energy left over from the dead that hangs around for a bit...
I don't believe anything lingers on. The brain dies, your mind no longer exists. Otherwise brain damage couldn't be so instantly severe.

Mostly a wish, since I haven't any evidence, and Princess Diana is not standing next to me pressing random buttons on the keyghio-dammit Diana! I'm just saying that it's not something I'm going to dive into head-first until I get some proof, which is actually impossible. Really. It could exist, but there'd be no way to prove it. Might as well get used to the idea of death either way though.

Back to the question at hand, though... I'd have to say I see the Afterlife as a place where the possibilities are only restricted by one's own mind, which is to say if you can imagine it, there it is. Also, you can do like a crazy new kind of hug where you become one being for a while. Haven't you ever felt like just hugging someone isn't enough? Yeah.

I think that what happens after death is by all means unknowable. I don't think it's any more rational to say that there's nothing than it is to say that there are heavens or hells (not to be insulting to anyone who believes either)

It could be anything based on what we know (which is pretty much nothing)

I like to think that it varies from person to person though, like your perception of death effects how it actually goes for you... I don't fricking know though haha

I'd expect that when I die, the place I go will be the same place I was 200 years ago. Non-existence.

I believe that I'll be surrounded by an infinite amount of beer. Food. and movies.
