"Blizzard has announced that they will release a remake of StarCraft with the updated grafics from StarCraft II" - will never happen :(

"LucasArts announced today that Star Wars: Battlefront 3 is under way and will be better then ever" - Im still hoping :D

"Activision says that they will stop spitting out games in the Call of Duty series once a years" - not that I dont like CoD, I just think its ridiculous now!

On the subject of Star Wars games:
Battlefront 3 being announced, Empire at War 2 announced, Jedi Academy II & Jedi Knight III. Kotor 3 being made by Obsidian-with ToR and the awful book being retconned out of existance.

I want to see Bethesda to turn back from the direction that they are taking the Elder Scrolls games, and make them more in line with what we saw in Morrowind-exotic, unique locations with fanciful creatures and strange cultures and customs. And to un-destroy Morrowind.

I want to see a Breath of Fire 6 announced, a Colony Wars 4 announced, a Medevil 3 announced. I want to see a new Master of Orion and Master of Magic. I want to see a new Space Empires. I want to see Obsidian release the Wheel of Time rpg they have supposedly been working on, assuming it hasn't already been cancelled.

On the Subject of D&D:
I want to see the conclusion to the Baldur's Gate (Dark Alliance) series. I want a new Icewind Dale and Neverwinter Nights to be announced by Obsidian, being made with either the 3.5 or 2.0 rules, and set pre-spellplague.

I want to see a proper Jagged Alliance sequel, and a new Vampire: the Masquerade game. I would like to see a new Arcanum, a new Fallout, and an Evil Genius sequel.

Unfortunately, most of these are unlikely to ever happen.

Capcom are canceling DMC: Devil May Cry and giving creative control of a proper sequel to Hideki Kamiya
Oh look another butthurt fanboy angry at the prospect of a sequel that changes it up a bit.
Your whining bitching and moaning is what's stops the industry from moving on.

"and since this method of revenue has been nailed down, games no longer have a standard $60 price tag, day 1 dlc, or online pass."

Why don't you say that to the Mass Effect 3 people.
How is saying you want the ending that was promised to you a bad thing?
Hell with all these kickstarters and petitions we are showing that we want good game. and will make them ourselves if we need to.
But complaining that a publisher wants to mix it up a little is just screaming for more sequels i mean rehashes of the same stuff.

The obvious one is Half-Life 3.

Metal Arms 2 would be awesome, though.

Or World of Warcraft: Ulduar 2: Algalons Revenge. I'd re-sub for that.

"Valve announces that they have finished Half-Life 2 Episode 3, Half-Life 3, and Team Fortress 3 (which will never include hats). All of these will be bundled in the Off-Pink Box, along with some puppies to apologize for the delay."

Or really, just a general announcement from the industry that they understand how episodic gaming is supposed to work.
This.
But yeah, totally a HL2:E3 or HL3 announcement.
Then again... "Ubisoft have finished work on Assassin's Creed 3 earlier than expected and it will be shipping tomorrow" would be pretty cool as well.

A 3DS game that plays like TWEWY, with a unique, yet, equally awesome story, and gameplay. And of course, a new, soundtrack that is just as awesome as the first.
Or announcing that the newest pokemon game will have all 5 regions. Either one would be nice.
Edit: And don't forget cameo battles (i.e trainers Red, blue, gold, silver, Ruby, Saphire...etc)

Sega:

"Coming soon, Sonic Adventure 3~! We've fired all those bastards that have spent the last decade destroying your childhood and brought back the original crew who have a brand new wonderful story that'll make you forget the horrors we've brought upon you this past decade - and we fixed the camera~!"

...It could happen.

So it is okay to ***** about Game A, but not about Game B? Isn't that a double standard? (Not trying to be rude, just curious.)
It would more accurately be bitching about situation A and game B as anyone who cares enough to complain about the ending of a game probably enjoyed most of said game leading up to it. In fact it's not really the same thing.

Apples and oranges to summarize.

You have bitching and you have voicing your opinions as a consumer.
Complaining bitching moaning and whining about a sequel not being what you wanted is bad.
Complaining in a calm and respectful manner about being denied the ending you were promised is a good thing it shows consumers are not used condoms to throw away.

Assassin's Creed 3 would be nice, but I'm not worried about it; I know that Ubisoft will put it out within a reasonable timeframe, if for no other reason than they want to make money?

But HL3, and Valve in general? I'm beginning to wonder whether the success of Steam has gone to their heads, and they've decided they don't want to make any more games, but just milk the idea of sequels to their franchises to keep themselves a household name.
