Your Inner Monologue

Playing out likely conversations in my head or ones that have already happened. Only thing is, it becomes more and more out there the farther I try to carry the conversation with myself. (Somehow got to asking myself what it would be like to ride a space donkey when originally asking about how much a ticket for a concert would be).

I also play songs from my childhood in my head when I lose my concentration in a conversation.

It's usually me debating myself over what the consequences would be if I make a certain decision. There's often a discussion going on in my mind between me and my family/friends/fellow students about day to day problems, like exams, tension between friends, love, etc. I'm usually the voice which expresses my dominant opinion about something, the ones I'm debating with voice my doubts/critiques on my dominant opinion. I have monologues/discussions like that a few times a day.

Other than that I just think about what I'm going to do, eat, drink later that day, nothing special...

I often think as if it were a documentary. I have myself for dialogue and its generally accompanied by videos. For example I just had to do a set of spatial reasoning today. I saw the blocks in my head connecting to form the 3D shape and myself in my head was going. "That goes there, then this on top... yeah like that."

So, here's one for you: what's your inner monologue like? I'd just like a little insight on the inner workings of someone else's head for a change.

In my head there are two voices, one demanding that I crash my car to see the wreckage, throw myself off the cliff to feel the rush, and charge into that group of chavs throwing fists just to see how many I can take down before they stab me.

The other tells me not to do that stuff.

I like to talk and argue with myself as if there's two or three different people inside there. It helps me make tough decisions sometimes too.

I'm usually quite lazy, so sometimes I need that fake moral voice to tell me to man up and get shit done. Of course sometimes they go off the deep end and tell me to push a kid over or something instead... They're as crazy as I am.

Other times the voice just takes the piss out of me. It makes for decent entertainment if I forget my music while walking somewhere.
