I've wasted a lot of priceless time on those websites just searching up random crap or reading articles that are linked to the one/ones you were previously reading.

With TV Tropes, I'm sure that has happened to anybody who's ever been there. Time passes so fast when I'm on that site.

The Escapist, though I don't consider it a waste because if I wasn't on here I would be listening to music (which I do anyway) and waiting for someone interesting to come onto msn (which is an even bigger waste of time).

Also, someone please explain to me what is so great/amusing/time consuming about TVTropes. It is no more time consuming than link-surfing Wikipedia, and they are wrong about 60% of the time. Any input would be helpful.
