Probably this: HALFRICAN: COCKSUCKER [http://halfrican.bandcamp.com/album/halfrican-vs-white-pages-split]

Something about it definetly works. Despite the uncomfortable hint of homophobia in the title...

I love these threads, I'll probably spend the next hour listening to all of these.

For me well gotta plug my favourite game's battle theme:

Sometimes I wish battles lasted longer so I can listen to it for longer.

Next something from DmC: Devil May Cry:

That game has some intense tunes.

Finally the theme from Ys Origin is fantastic and plays at a point in the game where you're like YEA BRING IT ON *****!

I can't believe no one has even mentioned this one yet:

I know, I know, it's kind of cliché by now but doesn't it get you hyped? :D

Also, and oddly enough, this:

This song stands heads and shoulders over everything else when it's time to lay down the law:

I use to listen to that one in middle school, when I wanted to get prepared for kicking ass.

Hmm, my favorite "It's time to kick ass!" music?

Ooph, probably too many. It really depends on my mood, the situation, and what I feel like doing.

But, in the interest of contributing, I'll list a few:

I generally listen to this when I'm in the midst of an intense, PvP session of a twitch shooter. It helps me concentrate, for some reason.

This one usually goes quite well with any intense scene in a campaign mission of just about any game.

This one usually goes well with racing games or any game scenario that requires me to be doing things very quickly.

Great for sneaking or just general stealth badassery.

Definitely a "slow walk while looking badass" kind of song.

You know, I don't know what makes me smile more.

How stupidly awesome those songs are in the game.

Or that a fake band with a fake album became so famous from the games that they took on a life of their own within the community.

Either way, good picks.

I have many, depending on what form of ass-kicking I wish to deliver.

There is only one song I take with me into battle:

Okay, that's out of my system.

Hilarious. OT: Sabotage by The Beastie Boys.
If not available I'll take the music from level one of the original Doom.

EDIT - Thank you Escapists for your exquisite taste in music

Well, this was the first song that came to mind:
Fun fact: Not that long ago this year, this also became a song I would jerk off to... Thanks, [REDACTED] from Newgrounds!
This was the song I usually go towards:
And this is the song that can go both ways:
(Seriously, this is a song to kick ass to as well as to get the ass kicked to...)

Oh... and here's two more songs, both from the same source:
That one Persona song:
And... Suddenly Symphonia:

REALLY tried not to state my obvious choices... Not sure if succeeded or not...

This recent song really fits the bill, just found it a few days ago:

Trigger warning: pastel-colored cartoon horses are referenced in the lyrics, and visible through the video.

Don Davis - Navras, makes me feel 20 feet tall every time I put this on and considerably worse at multiplayer games as I get very full of myself.
Definitely this, though I thought the neodamerung version was slightly better. Tried listening to it while playing Dark Souls once. It... didn't go so well.

This one always gets me pumped.

And when shit gets really serious...
And all the cards are on the table...

I listen to this...

When it's time to kick ass, you better step yo game up.
I'd advise headphones if there's anyone even remotely in earshot.

Depends what I'm doing.

Not going to even bother posting the Hell March, that just goes without saying.

Rammstein does pretty well (noticing a theme here?)
"How you feelin' today, Jimmy?" "Like a mean ************, sir!"

That's about all I can be bothered to dig up now. Although a few Johnny Cash songs would fit there too.

For a while now it's been DOA from the Attack on Titan soundtrack

I had my last uni exam in June there - it was the most difficult module I'd done by far. I needed this song to psyche me up for it. The desperation, the urgency to go on in the face of unspeakable odds... I did well in the end but part of it was this song mentally preparing me for it.
