CoD4: 1.21
WaW: I don't remember. It was slightly above negative.
MW2: 1.26

I don't REALLY care what my K/D is, as long as I keep it positive.

1.49 K/D ratio right now and steadily rising, but I have picked my game up and usually go 2:1 on most games. My problem is I have something 61000 to 41000 so it takes like 300 to 400 kills to get anywhere.

MW2 was about 3 point something, until I started not caring anymore and just playing for fun. It dropped to about 1 point something.

MW2 is 1.77. I only know because my friends use my leaderboard rank(formerly 4xxx) and my K/D to talk trash to the other team.

No noobtubing, marathon, lightweight, commando, UMP45, explosives(except sometimes a frag or C4 but very rarely), and no camping. No thermal snipers either. Mainly a FAL, F2000, WA2000, M9, and a throwing knife.

My K/D fluctuates when I screw around with the shield.

It really entirely depends on the game and the classs - in TF2, if I'm a heavy, my K/D ratio is something like 6-7 kills to every death (that is, at the end of the match I've wrapped up about 60-70 kills to 10 deaths). If I'm a spy, it's usually 0.7.

In BC2, it hovers at about 1-1.2 no matter which class I'm playing, as my playstyle is usually pretty similar in getting quite close to the enemy, which means I still end up dead a lot.

My kill/death ratio?

Well, lessee, I'm watching the end credits, so I beat the game (any game), assuming there is a boss(-es), I've presumably beaten them without dying.

So......X/0. (Where X is the number of people I've had to kill to beat the game).

Good enough for me.

If we don't count the insects, my kill/death ratio is 0/0. Oh, you were talking about CoD. Um, I haven't played that game for like a year so, beats me!

I don't consider it reliable, as half the time I'm just doing random stuff like trying to only no scope, only knife, or just hide at the bomb and defuse it in mw2 because that game gets boring and makes me very, very angry very, very quickly. My sister also occasionally plays and consistently gets about 3-18.
Even with all that, it's 1.56 in mw2, and about .96 in cod4, but I've gotten better at cod4.
codwaw can go die, the only reason I have it is for nazi zombies.

In CS:S, my KDR was 1:100. After I scored my kill by randomly firing a shotgun after being flashbanged, I realized that I was so incompetent I should simply go back to other games.

In TF2, my KDR is around 1.5 (counting assists) but much higher, at least double, for Engineer and Heavy. How sad that I'm best at playing the 2 most boring classes.

In Left 4 Dead games, I'm certain my KDR is in the hundreds, if not thousands. Zombies die easily.

I used to kick ass at Battlefield: 1942, and had an obscenely high KDR. I once had 200 kills and no deaths in a match on Omaha Beach (Nazi artillery was OP on that map).

Obviously, my best KDR would be in single-player games.

Lately, I haven't been killed in Prototype for quite a while, so my KDR for the past 2 months would be about 10,000:0.

In Oblivion, I have a character with over 1000 kills that has never died.

In Dead Rising, I killed 100,000 zombies in a run that only included 1 death. After that, I was simply sick of the game and stopped playing.

Obviously, it's not as impressive. But now I wonder about the possibility of an online game where thousands fight to take down a single player with god-like powers, and how impressive it would be to kill that player.

I don't actually care for the K/D ratio, just the amount of kills. I do like to keep track of it (for the duration of one game that is, might remember one or two here or there if they were extraordinary) but it's not my main goal, my main goal is to do.. well whatever the main goal is, you know, cap flags, plant bombs, defend a point, game objectives.

It's just a small personal guilty pleasure of looking at it and thinking "hehe my number is bigger than that guy's number - awesome". An excuse for a grin and feeling good about yourself ^^
