My latest purchases are.. Let's see..

Just Cause 2: STILL beating my way through this. Ridiculously huge game for a completionist.
Deus Ex Collection: Just completed the original, going on to play Invisible War.
Beat Hazard: Pretty fun indie game, though I'm glad I only paid £4 for it.
Mount and Blade: This was a while ago. So glad I bought it; now I want Warband!
Mass Effect 2: Nuff said.

I want NEED:

Splinter Cell: Conviction: I really enjoy the Splinter Cell series. I hope this one's as good.
Dragon Age: Awakening: I loved DA:O. I want more!
Mount and Blade: Warband: As above; I feel that with this game MnB could be epic.
Battlefield: Bad Company 2: I need a decent online shooter. Nothing interests me otherwise.
Civilization V: Because the Civ games are epic.

There, I think that's enough colons for one day. List threads are listy.

My last 5 games were, in order of oldest to newest;

-Heavy Rain
-Battlefield: Bad Company 2
-Oblivion The Elder Scrolls IV (Overhyped boring shit, acquired taste I guess, but I don't get the hype)
-Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic (Amazing game, but was buggy through steam, and combat could be more fluid, more like The Force Unleashed and less like Dragon Age)
-Splinter Cell: Conviction (Way too fucking short, for a game that has been in development for 4 years, being delayed so many times, and I'm about to finish it in one day, and I had to go to work too. On and DRM is retarded. God Ubisoft fail, combat is fun, but the omit stealth a bit too much).

Next 5

-KOTORII (Already got it, had to torrent it, as its not on steam or in stores, i'll play it after i finish off conviction)
-Red Dead Redemption (looks amazing)
-Prince of Persia: Forgotten Sands. (Yes I will continue to fuck myself by buying Ubisoft games)
-WoW: Cataclysm (Hopefully renew my interest in WoW, at least for a short time)

The last five:

Modern Warfare 2 - I don't care what y'all say, I like it! GET OFF MY BACK!!!
Metro 2033 - Dark, suspenseful, post-apocalyptic. I'm genetically programmed to buy games like this.
Just Cause 2 - Really enjoyed the cheese of the first, and it's good fun to just kick back and blow shit up for the hell of it.
AvP - God, I wish I'd rented it first. That'll be the last time I use pre-order.
Fallout 3 GOTY - See above comments about 2033, and add tongue-in-cheek humour.

The next five:

Haven't really given it much thought actually. I know I'll be getting Fallout: New Vegas (in the same way rocks know they'll be obeying gravity) and StarCraft 2, but other than that I guess I'll just hang back and see what hits the shelves.
