Remember the last time you went out? That particular nightclub, dingy bar, pool hall or whatever?
Now imagine as soon as you entered the doors closed forever. You'll never run out of what the place has to offer, but you can never leave.

Describe the last place you went to, what the people there were like, and, if you like, whether you'd go insane there or not.

CAPTCHA: walk free. Hah! Not likely!

It was a nice place called "The good neighbour".
Down by the riverside, and with a decent selection of beer. I'm afraid they might not have offered a lot of proper food though.

The people were nice, as they are in pubs. There was a jukebox. It was all wood and very rustique.
I might go insane from alcohol poisoning, but I was there with friends, so at least I'll have fun. For a while.

Oh man... the last time I was in a pub was a while ago. It's my local, so it's all good. The bartenders know me, most of the other students end up in there, the actual locals are kinda fun in that creepy-crazy way, there's a pool table, the toilets are clean, and there's karaoke from time to time.

All in all, I'd be fine for a while, then I'd get bike-withdrawal, then I'd go quietly insane.

You mean I will never run out of booze, heavy metal and skanky women with low self-esteem and revealing clothing? Why WOULD I ever want to leave!?

I honestly do not remember the last time I went out to a club/bar/anything of the sort. Probably when I was still in high school. My dad used to hang out at bars, and I'd end up sitting in the corner and reading books.

I'm in about the same boat. I think the last time I was in a bar was about 7-8 years ago. Was with my sister while she was looking for work, and was definitely underage. I'm pretty sure that doesn't matter when you're magically stuck somewhere, but I think it was one of those shitty small bars that have only a few beers on tap, no liqueurs or spirits anywhere to be seen. I don't like beer...doubt they had any food either...

Last time I was out I was at a friend's house. I think they won't appreciate me being there forever, hospitable as they might be.
If all the people I was with there at the time can't leave either, the parents of that friend would probably go insane. But atleast we'd have tons of crisps and whatever-else they had at that time.

Hey, did we go to the same club or something?

Yeah, so pretty much that, only they give out gross drinks to the newbies at 12am as a right of passage.

Hm. So I'm trapped in a stadium with shitty, overpriced food. Well, at least Kansas will be performing live every night.

Guess it's only fair I throw my hat into the ring-

The last place I went was a bar with a wide open sitting area infront of a stage. I went with my girlfriend to see her sister's band. As it turns out, the band's leader has another band, to which he had just recruited my ex.

And she was there.

As were my girlfriend's parents.

So, if it became Hotel California while we were all there, I'd be stuck with a probably perpetually drunk ex, a very wary girlfriend, her sister's band practicing to their heart's content, their parents probably watching whatever I did when I got drunk, and a bartender who pours me more expensive drinks when he can't find what I ordered, and not telling me they'd be a price hike. Bastard.

But, there'd be a pool table too, and good god if there's something in that crazy mix to keep me sane, it'd be that pool table.

i see what you did there [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NUbTW928sMU] and i better, one of my favorite classic rock songs.

OT: :D freedom!!!! i don't go out to clubs/pubs/bars. don't really see the point of going out and paying to get into a place with shitty music cranked up to 12. and since i don't drink, at all, there goes reason #2 to go out, which just leaves the socializing ... 'thing' which i find overrated :p

Ahh, but surely you've been to one at some point in your life? Even if just to drop someone off, catch up with someone, attend a buck's night, etc? Dance hall? Indoor Mini-Golf? Laser tag?

...Surely?

Some dated carvery with mostly middle-aged/old people and no entertainment. I'd go cuckoo-nuts pretty quick, I think. That said, there is a lake very nearby - if only I could just throw myself in...
