Surprise surprise, when I read the OP the first songs that popped into my head were from Bleach, of course. I need a new anime...
But anyway, for me it would depend on the "mood". Like if I have to stay behind unexpectedly and the whole situation is just rather sad and tragic, then I would go with "Soundscape to Ardor": http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=13LetpwJ5b0.

Or this So yeah is safe to say that the 403 Forbiddena songs I've heard would fit perfectly with the fast-paced intense last stand I'd plan to have.
