Pink Floyd. I discovered them last December and now I absolutely love them. Starting with Dark Side of the Moon to Wish you were Here, I'm going through all their albums.

And as a result, I'm watching Roger Waters live! *squeal.*

Hmmmm.... Well It's sort of odd considering that I am a metal head yet I have in the last few months decided that I REALLY like Angelspit and other Industrial Bands.

Sooo..... I really got to think that I should like this yet I do....

Ah well...

I listened to this while reading "The Wise Man's Fear" by Patrick Rothfuss.

Particularly with this song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RR7mWZuFYsQ

'A Tap Dancer's Dilemma' is also an awesome song by them.

OT: I recently stumbled across a band called The Gaslight Anthem, and they've just got this great 80's-ish sound about them.

Also, He is We is a good band if you like songs about romance and heartbreak etc....I only heard about them through a friend.

I recently got pretty big into the early Joe Jackson stuff. I bought I'm the Man, and pretty much every song is great. He and his band have a really tight sound, and his bass player, Graham Maby, is outstanding. In addition to discovering his stuff, I more or less rediscovered my love of the Who after buying Quadrophenia. They sure did some damn good shit.

I don't follow many composers or bands but....i can safely say one of the ones i follow happens to be a musical GOD! And, as such, he happens to have been my musical fixation for quite some time as of late.

Not been listening to anything that's new to me, but the last new album I bought Lana Del Ray's (don't judge me). Other than that, I've been on a Die Form kick.

Nothing "new" has really grabbed me, not even old stuff I'd just not gotten into. :/

oh my god YES!!!

after listening to her two songs (Video games and born to die) I then listened to her album and was actually really impressed that I consistantly liked all of it bought and was happy

then I read the reveiws (which werent horrible, just polarising) which really surprised me, and left me think "is this bad? i thourght it was great" (I even made a thread about my music related crisis)

but I got over that, I really liked it

I've been playing Dr Dog's new Album on repeat for the past three days. Every time these guys do an album, it's incredible.

I picked up a few new albums recently and have been listening to them quite a bit - 2 by Japanese producer Nujabes, which is some of the most chilled out shit I have ever had the pleasure to listen to, and one by the collaboration between J Dilla and Madlib called Jaylib - and their album Champion Sound, which is chock full of bangers.

I've been listening to a lot of an electronic band called Caravan Palace, they're pretty wacky, catchy and just fun to listen to.

I've recently developed some intrigue for Yes' Close to the Edge album. I'm going to keep listening to these guys to see if I can get permanently hooked.

I've been on a Disney bender for the past two months, and my current obsession songs that I play on a constant neverending loop while I do mindless coursework has been "Bells of Notre Dame"(a customized version I tweaked so I could actually hear Paul Kandel's epic last note)

and "Once Upon a Time in New York City" from Oliver and Company.
