Katy...Perry...must....die...

You know what I mean, I can't bring myself to say, think or type those words.
Nicklback will burn forever for their 'Rockstar' song, as will The Pussycat Dolls for their debut song and their "band" name.

Oh my, I have so many I couldn't possibly type them all...

Anything by Dragonfarce. My friend wrote a random Dragonforce lyric generator programme using only 8 different lines and *guitar solos* and I swear they could have used it to write some of their actual songs. It's all "pain", "fire" and "glory" in every single track and it's incredibly boring.

Oh I nearly forgot, Interior, crocodile, alligator. I drive a Chevrolet movie theatre. [http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=XnMDrv8Mx3E]

From songs any English person can understand?

"Does he wash up? Never washs up. Does he clean up? Never cleans up. Does he brush up? Never brushs up. He does nothing, boy does nothing!"

I imagine myself slapping whatever girl is singing that right in the face.

Oh, and if you understand Spanish, La Camisa Negra by Juanes.

"I have a black shirt, because I have a black soul
What used to taste like glory, now tastes bad
Bed, bed bed bed bed c'mon babe"

And I think there is somewhere line:

"Mie...rcoles por la tarde", which can be translated to (very hard, either to English or Polish) as "Shiiii...wednesday afternoon".

I used to like the band Live when I was younger. I picked up their greatest hits a while back and was stunned by how awful their lyrics are and wondered how I had missed that when I used to like them.

Lets go hang out in a mall, or a morgue,
A smorgasbord
Lets go hang out in a church
Well go find lurch
Then well haul ass down through the abbey
Is it money, is it fame whats in a name, shame?
Is it money, is it fame or were they always this lame?

Its a crazy, crazy mixed up town
But its the rattlesnake I fear
In another place, in another time
Id be drivin trucks my dear
Id be skinnin hunted deer
Deer

Lets go hang out in a bar
Its not too far
Well take my car
Well lay flowers at the grave of jesco white
The sinners saint
The rack is full and so are we
Of laughing gas and ennui

It's like it was written by a twelve year old with a rhyming dictionary.

I'd also like to thank Guitar Hero: World Tour for subjecting me to the following gem

"I try to be not like that but some people really suck
Some people need to get the axing chalk it up to bad luck"

Urg.

a certain song that contains at first a boastful lyric about being able to pilot a two wheeled manually pedaled vehicle without first grasping the steering mechanism.

Nearly anything by U2.

Honorable mention to Hawthorne Heights for "I'm Outside of Your Window, with My Radio!"

You mean "I kissed a girl...and I liked it". Oh, sorry.

Yeah, that Nickelsack song is painful to me, too.

Anything by Nickelback, any emo band, Britney Spears, any number of slutty pop artists, any screamo band, ANY CHRISTIAN BAND, most "radio-friendly" bands, and a lot of alternative bands. The list goes on.

I really don't like a lot of modern music. >_>

It's nine in the afternooooooon! Your eyes are the size of the moooooooon!
Personally I love that song and have that album. However that's probably because I'm just attracted to very quirky things, like the TV show Pushing Daisies or the redhaired girl who lives in the flat 4 floors below me :D. As for songs I do hate, I have to go for most heavy metal lyrics, nothing but screaming. At least with Panic at the Disco you can hear what they're saying...
But surely you realize that from an instrumental standpoint, PATD is boring as hell?
Oh, and how could I forget the undeniable musical retardation that is Nickel Back?

Actually no, I quite like the instrumental factors as well of PATD's music, it sounds nice and I enjoy listening to it. It's similar in style to Fall Out Boy, another personal favourite, and the melody as well as the lyrics are quite appealing to me. And I love Nickelback as well, by the way.

Anything by Hollywood Undead.
I hate (I think) their "main" singer's voice so much.

And on top of that their lyrics are so fleeting, frivolous and just stupid.

But that's a huge problem I've seen with "newer" music. Or at least anything I've listened to (I suppose mostly mainstream stuff).
The lyrics are so plain; unlike most classic rock (once again, the "mainstream" classic rock I know) where the lyrics are practically poetry.

Example: Pink Floyd's "Time" (one of my favorite songs)
The song is about how time is so fleeting; how one minute you're in your childhood and the next you realize you've wasted your life waiting, living your life with the clock always close behind you.
Either way, all I'm saying is the song was well written, almost poetic.

And then "Black Dahlia" by Hollywood Undead. Probably their most popular song. Playing off of teenage angst and stupidity; an angry song that blatantly states that it's stupid.
God just looking at the lyrics makes me angry to see that popular music has been thrown to the dogs.
