One of my favorite bands is an obscure one called Moxy Fruvous. Most of their lyrics are very good. However, their song Independence Day repeats the phrase "The children let go of their balloons and flew away."

The ironic thing is that most of the band are English majors.

I am just going to inflict anger in everyone by saying any lyrics by Bob Dylan >.< No i can't do that but i never liked the lyrics to Knocking on Heavens Door. And the Guns'n'Roses Version had boring lyrics + Axel Roses nails on chalkboard voice.

forgive me if im wrong, but isnt that true of most choruses? kinda repeating the same set of lyrics at set points, because im struggling to think of a fratelli's song where they particularly repeat anything ad nauseam?

I think it's more the "nananana na na" type of lyric the fratelli's annoy me with. Then with the others I'm fine with a chorus, but one line repeated six times over each chorus and them another 20 times at the end of a song does infuriate me somewhat.
