your list of games that should be considered for game of the year

That's all really. Haven't played many other games this year long enough to consider placing them here(even though I've played Shadow of Mordor and enjoyed it).

Most fun I've had was with the above games listed. Transistor was just goddamn beautiful, and The Banner Saga was an excruciating trek across the world in the face of an apocalypse, which you are powerless to stop. Really good games. Might get Dragon Age Inquisition during Christmas or something, though I'm still waiting for trustworthy opinions on the game before deciding for sure. Until then, I await The Witcher 3.

My favorite game of this year is without a doubt Divinity Original sin. Its one of those games that was so good that it felt like it was setting a new standard for what the genre should be

Shadowrun: Dragonfall
The banner saga
Wasteland 2
Xenonaughts
Depth

Of course theres also a couple games that were rereleased on PC this year I dont know if they would count being rereleases but they deserve honorable mentions purely on them being good games

Valkyrie chonicles

I have not yet played Far cry 4 or Dragon age Inquisition (and probably wont till next year when they release them with a full DLC pack for $60 rather then nickle and diming me after release) plus theres another month to go before we can really do a legit game of the year
list. So more could be added down the road

At the end of the day though, I feel and have always felt that sharing our personal list of "games of the year" is more productive and interesting then just mashing up a massive list of nomnations to create a "one size fits all" list
