Your list of gruesome things

Which are the most gruesome things you've seen/read in a movie/game/book?
Usually I have a very high tolerance towards fictional violence, but some things really stick to me. I'd get more into detail, but still haven't figured out the spoiler thingy...


- Nightwatch (danish movie): the murder in the middle of the movie (it feels very real)

- The Cell: music box torture scene

- Phantasmagoria 2: How Bob gets murdered

- Hiob's Game (german book): There´s a so called love story, in which the couple gets to such a point of excess that I had to put the book down for a night (first time)

I liked the bit in Quake 4 where you get stroggified. You get to see your legs getting sawn off and a big needle injecting you with adrenaline and another one right in the forehead.

It was cool.

The book Messiah...that thing was freaky...I was like, 10, and read it to like 3 am in the morning...I seriously though I wouldn't fall asleep that night/morning.

Start of Hills have Eyes.. Their's something about a sledgehammer to the face that gives me goosebumps.

I felt physically sick watching Saw III, where the bloke's trapped in the massive drum with a chain around his neck on the floor, then rotting carcasses are shredded and filtered into where he's trapped. Essentially, he was drowning in the most hideous thing you could drown in. Even thinking about it now is making my throat close up.

I never have, and never will, watch the Scarab scene in The Mummy without half-closing my eyes.

I don't like it, it really creeps me out

In my own mind the most disturbing thing i have ever thought of

someone being held down and Jackhammering their limbs off (I dont know HOW i thought of it...or why for that matter)

that dissapointed me really. getting my legs sawed off and a loud grunt is all he can muster? wheres the blood curdling scream?T.T ruins it for me. id have to say saw 4 with the donation of blood would be the worst one ive seen.
