I have had a few 12+ hour gaming marathons. But when ever I do, I have atleast a couple friends on board for it, and we arrange it before hand as a bit of a lan party when none of us have to work. The USUAL culprit is ofcourse WoW. But on the console side top down dungeon crawlers are awesome good fun (we need more, developers!!).
Once my room mate and I powered through the halo 3 campaign on legendary. Neither of us were very good, but we about 11 hours of campaign and some death match. We still laugh about it, since we were both in school, both working on assignments and had tests coming up. We both kinda had out study motivation snap and before we knew it, there was pizza and beer out and halo 3 on.
But I prefer the WoW marathons, I have my bar fridge in my room, so if I have to do an iron butt session, sustainance is but an arms reach away. Which rocks so impossibly hard. The next thing I have to do is put a micro wave on top of the fridge so I can nuke burritos as well. That and I am the priest, so I can merrily stuff my face while playing health bar whack a mole.
