Sometimes, when I'm falling asleep in class, I'll combine my daydreams with what the teacher is talking about, which leads to incredible amounts of confusion on my end.

Oh god yes. When I get sick, I get really unpleasant hallucinations/dreams. They're not nightmares, but as they're happening I'm just begging for them to end. Like something really bad will happen if they don't.

They're especially bad if I need to barf which, thankfully, hasn't happened in years. Though I probably just jinxed it. T

I remmeber one time I had a really high fever and was watching One Piece. And all of a sudden Tony Tony Chopper turned right at the screen and said, I shit you not, "I'm going to kill you."
Later I went back to that episode about a week later and it never happened.

I would have shat bricks.

The only crazy thing I have done while sick was try to go into work...and pass out in the chair next to the timeclock on one of my days off.
At the time I was so out of it I just blinked and kind of jumped back. I knew SOMETHING was up because right before all my senses flickered like an EMP hit me. And his voice was a higher pitch. But yeah, it was a trip.

My Dad had swine flu and he was talking about the origins of the Jewish society, reeaaally old football games and he had no idea who I was. He also swore a hell of a lot, which is always funny.

My boyfriend tells me that last time I was ill, I kept going on about not having enough cupcakes for everyones kittens. I worry myself
Why is that worrying? Every kitten has a right for their cupcakes!

OT: I'm usually quite energetic and aware when I'm sick because I am really weird that way. I spent a whole day with my dad when I was a kid while having a pretty high fever. However there have been twice when I've been really out of it and I've actually had some strange hallucinations. The first time that happened I was sick throughout the entire Easter (yay, out of school and I'm sick for the whole week) and I walked into the bathroom at night and there was a forest there. The shower, toilet, sink and washing machine was still there, but the walls were replaced by trees and some small paths.
The second time this happened was once when I got food poisoned by some bad meat and I woke up in the middle of the night seeing strange colours and the walls were melting. That was pretty bad too.

Once when I was sick I had a dream that I was riding Yoshi through one of the levels in Super Mario Bros. I woke up and fell asleep atleast 5 times that night and every time the dream restarted.

When I have a bad fever I will hear voices. Just endless voices saying things I don't give a shit about. The problem is that they just won't shut up! LET ME SLEEP! LET ME REST!

I'm not insane, I just get weird during intense fevers....

That often happens to me when I wake up in the knight and am not properly awake. My mind will race away and suddenly I think "WTF was I thinking about?"

Also when I'm ill I have the most fucked up dreams.

I'm still thinking about it in a vain attempt to make sense of my thoughts or at least remember it all and I think the weird loading screen looked like the one from the beginning of resistance 3, also the branches were very important

Actually its just fever dreams, its a state where you're continuing to wake up during REM sleep so you actually remember your dreams and there seem to be more of them. This phenomena can be seen in other cases where you continue to wake up, such as when you're under the influence of medication or illegal drugs. In fact "tripping" on drugs does a very similar thing to your brain, neurons fire off out of order and your brain tries to make sense of it.

REM sleep is pretty much your brain organizing short term memory into long term memory for easier storage/retrieval and its randomly firing off neurons to find other memories to connect them to, this doesn't have anything to do with what you see in a dream but your brain tries to make sense of these firings (sort of like trying to find images in clouds or stars, but a little differently) when you wake up for some reason you tend to remember these random stories your brain makes up and we call them dreams.

Then again this is all speculation.

When I had the flu when I was around 6, I started hallucinating. My family walked into the room carrying what looked like a pile of concrete blocks, and they were making this horrendous noise. Then I was convinced I was falling off my grandma's knee even though she had laid me down next to her. It was weird!

When I went to the US last summer I had really early flights so barely got any sleep before I went. When I got there, I slept for 14 hours straight and when I woke up I was told that I'd said something about sharks being great just before I dropped off. I remember it made perfect sense at the time, but when I was back to a conscious state I wondered what on earth had caused me to say it.

My sense of space is really messed up when I'm sick. I don't have good depth perception already due to one eye muscle that is very weak and astigmatism. So when I'm really sick, hallways and the like appear much longer.

I always have very strong lucid dreams, but when sick they degenerate to an action repeated over and over. For example, playing chess with someone who constantly does a re-do when a turn doesn't go in there favor.... for hours and hours.
