I've had good moments, but how many people here can claim to a Twin Galaxies world record? Not many, I imagine.

84,700 in Rampage: World Tour. I got over 3 million, but most of the score was discounted because I first used a continue at the 84,700 mark.

I have been having alot of those with The Godfather. Try and rob a bank and die 1000 times. But damn does it ever feel good when you make it back to the safehouse with all the cash on the 1001 time.

While I have never used these exact words, I have a habit, in L4D of jumping into a horde of zombies with just a meelee weapon.
once on 'Heroes of the Pacific', in the last mission on the hardest difficulty, I was about to die when I finally beat the boss (unfortunately, the game didn't cut to a video right away, so I got shot down by a random opponent before I 'won' )

Halo 1 in Legendary, on T&R, activating the end level's cutscene 1 second after I died :D

Edit: for great victories, i'd say the Garuda team badge I got on my profile for beating Ace Combat 6 on Ace difficulty. Just try to beat Pasternak on hard or Ace, and you'll see what I mean...
I managed to get killed in a cutscene in Halo. Thanks to the fact that it was a co-op game, my friend was able to confirm that my rifle and stack of grenades where indeed intact beneth the warthog that killed me. During this same evening, we managed to get a warthog to the bottom of the facility in the level "The Silent Cartographer". In fact, in the final cutscene, we had the warthog on top of the map station. This trick involved using one warthog to ram a second one through a door that normally stops you entrance, driving backwards off a cliff to oblivion only to shoot the warthog with a rocket launcher in order to shove it on a lower shelf, and a daring high speed run at a far too narrow door using an impeccably timed grenade to force the vehicle onto two wheels long enough to make it in.

Still, I'd say my moment of greatest victory came in fencing. At the time I was a U rated fencer (that is to say, a noob) fencing against a B class fencer (the ranking stops at A). The guy annihilated me in the pools (how you determine match-ups for a single elimination tournament in fencing) as one would expect. After blundering my way past the first round (where chaff like me ought to be elimated) I met him the second, and for nine brutal minutes I fought him to a standstill always giving as good as he gave. There was mere seconds left and the score was tied at 12-12 (This is after nearly nine minutes in a single bout - an eternity in the sport). After trying yet again to land a flick (a move where you try to whip your opponent with the tip of the blade - generally done because it can quickly be delivered and is difficult to defend against if well aimed) I managed one of only two successful prime parries in a tournament(I won't bother with a descripton - sufficie it to say it is a rare parry, accomplished as I closed distance in time with him)) transitioned to position nine (that is, you raise your arm such that your elbow is behind your head and you direct the blade forward - done at extreme close quarters) and landed the touch. That was the first time I'd ever made it out of the first OR second round.

It was strange - while I had certainly figured him out, he was a vastly superior technical fencer than I, and the disparate skill differences ought to have been sufficient for him to coast to victory. For a few fleeting minutes I actually understood what the hell Bruce Lee had always gassed on about with the flowing like water nonsense because in spite of my limited skill set, in spite of the actual blistering speed of the match it was as though everthing was in slow motion and the result was absolutely epic exchanges.

This reminds me of one creative night my friend and I had. We were on Silent Cartographer as well, but instead we had a violent goal to tool around with. After killing every last creature we could, we would deliver piles of grenades and explosive weapons to one spot.

After amassing a mound of grenades and weaponry, we decided to test out our explosive abomination. The results would entertain us for hours.

We created a makeshift H-Bomb. The explosion was such that the screen would flash bright white for a few seconds, and everything within the blast radius would be devastated. The bodies of our "shipment corpses" would fly outward like a flailing green dome (mega-shrapnel). Warthogs would travel so far into the sky that the map would disappear in fog.

We eventually constructed the "H-Bomb" on other maps. We ended up impaling a Scorpion Tank on one of those gigantic alpine trees.

As for the fencing story. It's not quite a video game story, but damn it sounds cool. Wish there was a video.

Years ago I was playing a 8v8 game of CTF on Halo 2. It was some map with two big buildings with a courtyard between them that had a machine gun turret.

Someone on my team managed to get the enemy flag out of the enemy base and everyone on our team was grabbing it and moving it three feet closer and dying until I got on the turret and killed 7 people back to back so someone could bring the flag back and score the winning cap.

Congrats! This reminds me of a glorious moment I shared with my team in Halo 2. I don't remember the name of the map, but it was in a dark cavern filled with stalagmites and stalactites.

It was snipers and swords only, and the player numbers were set to the max. There were 3 teams, if I remember correctly. My friend and I took charge pretty quickly, and commanded the team to hole up in the middle-base (the one built within the rock between red and blue base).

We gave each team member a specific patrol/post and made sure they spoke about what they saw. We barked orders, used tactics, racked up the kills, and came out with a decisive victory.

Our team was an efficient and well-oiled killing machine. Enemies would try to sneak in, or take advantage of holes in our defense. But we planned ahead for everything. If someone went down, we had another waiting in the shadows to avenge the fallen. Any hole in our defense was actually a bait.

It was so damn exciting!

Plenty of moments in Mount&Blade, in which my wee raiding party gets ripped apart by an ambushing lord, whilst I ride back and forth slashing like a maniac, taking down 50-60 men before I go.

Fighting the first boss in ZG in wow with my shaman. Everyone died and I managed to stay alive long enough for a priest to run back and heal me. We took down the boss's last 20% of health together. Vanilla wow was awesome.

Hah, nice! My friends have just found a vanilla private server after months of searching. They desperately want me to play.

WoW had the potential for loads of glorious moments in its hay day. Not so much anymore.

most epic halo victory, my friend is an mlg feind so basically me and him made a team in swat, after losing really badly, it was 40-16, since me and him where away buying energy drinks, we got back, our team had quit so me and him did some epic 360s and some headshots accross the map and eventually bought the score to 49-50 , we lost but damn it was epic ... loss by random frag ... *fail* *__*

in games? I got two, one was in pokemon heart gold, elite 4 (first time) i forgot to buy some revives, i was down to two pokemon, my Tryplosion (Blaze) and my Umbrion (Zidane) i had Zidane go first, he took out half of Lance's pokemon (Garadose, Aerodactial, and draginare) then draganite took him out, then Blaze had all but 4 PP left on Lava Plume, he took out the rest of his pokemon with all but 2 hp left (he ran out of PP and had to use Desperaction)

2: MW2, Search and Destroy in terminal, i was the last on my team and almost all of there team was still alive, all i had was a sticky grenade, my FAL, and my M9, my perks where bling pro, hardline, and commando pro, i ran twords the book store, where a guy with double Rangers was camping, i threw a flash bang to stun him and took him out with the M9, then i ran twords the food stand, and knife the guy behind the counter, i got grazed by a sniper bullet, but i threw the sticky at the rafter where he was hiding and got him, 3 down, 3 to go. I found the bomb, grabed it and ran twords the plane, i went around to use the tunnel to get near the front of the plane, and knifed the guy in there, with 4 kills, i got my preditor, so i used it to see where everyone was, i saw one was near the bookstore comming around, so i took him out, the other guy was camping out near the back of the plane, but he forgot to blow up the barrels, so i lit them up and won the whole match for my team.

In real life? Telling my ex to fuck off and now im going out with her friend, and im happy!

On this site? Im in the E-Team's video!

My most moment of glory was in WoW (sadly)
We were on the last boss in an instance, what was a dragon with an annoying sleeping spell.

There was me, the druid (tank)
The priest (healer)
The mage (cc and dps)
The rogue (dps)
And a hunter (cc and dps)

We were doing hefty good until 60% of the dragons health went down. Than things started to turn for the worst.)

I don't know what happened, but suddenly the priest, the mage, the rogue and the hunter were all dead. Only me left and the dragon.

(This was a level 50 - 55 instance, so I had some spells up my sleeves)

When I noticed I was the only one alive, I took immediate action.

>>>>Warning for WoW forms below.<<<<
I went out of bearform to immediatly battle resurrect the priest and than cast a spell that increases the priests mana regenation by 400% and restores a big piece of her procentual mana.
I than went to heal myself and spam in the chat "WE CAN FUCKING DO THIS! Just heal me!!!"

I than went into bearform before getting too much damage.
We sucessively got 10% of the health away as I started to make offensive blows than protective.

Unfortunately... The fucking dragon put a sleep spell on me and immediatly went on the priest.
After the priest was dead, I knew I wouldn't be able to make it.
I tried to escape with cat form and used sprint, but the damn dragon slept me, catched up and killed me ruthlessly.
>>>>End of WoW forms<<<<
But, I got kudos for it, and it's a thing I'll remember for a very long time.

WoW had a bunch of memorable moments for me. Most of those moment involved my friends. I had one like this in one of the newer instances (the first Icecrown instance)

I, a paladin, was tanking, and my friend, also a paladin, was playing healer. Our party burned maybe 20% if the last boss' health before most of them died off. My friend and I survived, and despite all of the "gg" comments, we decided not to back down.

We "pally powah'd" through the rest of the fight and took the monster down. It was mostly funny because the boss had no chance (of course, I didn't know that going in). My friend was a really good healer and my pally was already pretty tough. It was my first time through the instance, so I was giggling like a little school girl throughout the whole ordeal.

Mines from Combat arms. On Sand Hog in the spy hunt gametype, i'm left with one other guy and the superspy, spy starts uploading and I shoot him in the chest with the m24 sniper rifle (100% accuaracy FTW), Spy starts turning towards me, stops uploading and charges, I have one shot before he can get close enough for a guarnteed kill with the minigun. I line up the shot look into his eyes and pull the trigger, headshot the game gleefully declares as the superspy drops and people start typing lol and ns.

I destroyed an enemy base with one anti infantry unit, it took for fucking ever!

Let me explain, I built a rather large army on Kane's wrath as the scrin, all tanks (if you can call them that). I knew the enemy had alot of turrets (they were nod, so there turrets have 4 guns, 3 of which regenerate unless you kill the base turret)'cos I set them to turtle, like me.

I just clicked the base turret and all my units went on a rampage taking out most turrets and buildings, till I ended up with this lowly gun walker. I had to take down all the power plants so there reaming turrets wouldn't blow me to pieces, then went after there hand of nod (which kept throwing infantry at me so it took ages), the MCV was next so they would stop building the hand of nod, then the turrets and finally the upgrade buildings.

Not as dramatic as some but it felt good to slowly dismattle a base, I would have built more units but I wanted to see if I could do it. That gun walker ended up being rather kick ass, after all the promotions.

I wonder what the Hexapod would be like at the top level ....

Never played that game, but it seems you killed the Terminator. That spy sounds scary as hell.

Good work on killing the super spy, that bastard is the reason i only play elimination. Although... one match i was on one of my teammates shot the guy in the head with an l96, and i did succeed in hitting him in the head with the m107.

I suppose it'd be on Tribes 2 when I sniped someone with a headshot from over 1,000 meters away for a kill. Lol, couldn't even see the guy, just the little triangle saying he was there XD.

I think the number was like 1,328m or close to it.
