Starcraft Ghost! I was crushed.

Holy ****! I am not the only one? I am still waiting and HOPING that the game comes out. We thought it was canceled about 1 year after it debuted. Than they showed us a new trailer and we thought "OMG It's still ON!". Than they tell us it is postponed another year after the new trailer. Now we are like "F***!". Than they tease us with her cameo in Starcraft 2. Now we are like "You son of a *****! Give use the game already!"

....than again...that could just be me.

Starcraft Ghost was the only thing that fell into this category for me. Recently, however, I've stopped becoming hyped about games. I'm too busy having fun with the ones that are out to care about the ones coming out in the future. They'll either suck when they come out and get patched (Black Ops, New Vegas, etc), or be good but die out fast and end up getting the 2 month price drop where I actually consider buying them. Even then it's not likely unless everyone has stellar things to say about it, and it's on sale. I'm a stingy fuck.

I'd be fine with anything being canceled. If I didn't play it I won't miss it. There are plenty of other games to get into.

Episode 3, DoW: Retribution, Portal 2 or Bioshock Infinite, I suspect.

Any of the above would be met with "oh well, I'd probably never have had the time to play it anyway."

Duke Nukem Forever... I'd be pissed, I've waited about 15 years for this sequel and it would be horrible if I don't get to play it...

At least I'd be able to try the new twisted metal game when it comes out...

This. I've been waiting for Duke for over decade, though, I think it's a good thing it took so long. The world definitely needs Duke now more than ever to save people from boring games.

They're just games it's not that crushing, especially f you've lived through it a lot already. That said I'm still be disappointed if Square went belly up before they could launch Deus Ex 3. They blamed it on "poor performance of console games" I'd probably bet that's a nice way to avoid saying to your investors "We screwed up on Final Fantasy IV. Oh man. Did we ever screw up bad.".

I've been waiting for Kingdom Hearts 3 for about 6 years now. Square Enix has just been releasing those godforsaken games about Organization XIII for the DS and PSP. I've just given up all hope for that game ever coming out.

I can't say much for the DS game, but Birth By Sleep kicked ass. Also, it barely had anything to do with Organization XIII. If you haven't already, seriously give it a shot.

That and Birth by Sleep was the game KH2's secret ending was previewing, not 3. I don't even know for sure how far in production they are if Birth by Sleep was what they've been spending all this time on.
