So i was playing frontline fuel of war SP the other day. I'm stood minding my own business assessing a situation, when from nowhere a tank lands on my head. I mean from thin air!. When i respawn i move just in case a tank was supposed to be there, oh no, the one and only time this has happened.

Mine would be from good ol' Morrowind, there I was walking along admiring the (then) lovely graphics and soaking in the sights, when I fell through the ground into a blue void before reapearing in the air about a hundred meters above where I had been and falling to my death.

Today while playing BF: BC I was crouching behind a partially blown up wall and taking people out from a distance when out of nowhere I died. I wasn't killed because normally when you die the whole "gamertag [weapon that killed you] your gamertag" thing is displayed, but not this time. I just died.

It was weird.

Once when I was playing Halo 2 co-op with a friend on the bridge (with sputnik skull), he died and reappeared right in the barrel of the Scorpion I was driving right as I fired. He flew far away and started spinning until it looked like he flew into a million pieces.

I was playing Fallout 3, all of the sudden, my radio turns off, my weapons and armor fly off in all directions and I die from +1000 rads/sec when I'm in the GNR station. I WISH I were kidding.

My strangest one was in Fallout 3 in which I found a landmine, disarmed it and left the area. A couple of minutes later I saved the game and retired for the night. The following day I load up my game and I explode. EVERYWHERE.

So you're stuck in a never-ending loop of death? My heart goes out to you.

I was playing Forgotten Hope 2, and when I spawned on the squad leader, I was on the ground, and i was suddenly teleported to the highest possible point in the game. I fell to my death because FH2 does not allow for parachutes for all player classes.

It's a mod for Battlefield 2. Try it out sometime.

Pretty much! Ah well... Worse things could happen, like misplacing my eyebrows for example.

That would be problematic, why you'd have to draw them on.

Some of these glitches remind me of this one incident I had on the first GBA Castlevania. There were some red crates that needed a special item to allow you to push them, and for some reason, I was trying to push one without the item. While I was pushing, I jumped, and I think the game detected me as sandwiched between the ceiling and the crate. The game then threw my character fully across the screen, BROKE a torch as I passed over it (this only can occur from attacks, not general movement), and threw me half way across the screen in the next room. I didn't die, or even take damage, but it was amazing to see on a 2D game. At least finding map holes on a 3D game is a little more explainable. I never was able to reproduce the incident.

One EPIC death I had was while playing Driver. A cop sandwiched me between a wall at full speed, and sent me flying up 200+ feet into the air. It was high enough that the draw distance in the game stopped showing the ground. Finally, after reaching the height of my accent, I came back down, almost right where I had been when I crashed. I managed to land on the hood of another car that was just minding its own business as it drove around.

Just trying to make some caps in Fallout 3 (I was only level 5) and i made it to Underworld. There i met Mr Crowley (Ozzy Osbourne refrence) He told me to kill Dukov so i headed over there. I focused on the main storyline so i already saw the Enclave come back. I found Dukovs place and saw a Enclave officer. He was opening the Deathclaw cage so i quickly ran into the Building. I thought i was safe until i saw a red dot on my radar and found the deathclaw had glitched into the building. It killed me in 2 shots.

Fallout 3

Got stuck in VATS with no ability to move or shoot as muties murdered me in painful slow motion.

GTA 4... speeding along the highways in a giant truck knocking cars each way, when i ran into a petrol station. Suddenly me and my truck spawned halfway across the map about a mile from the petrol station and exploded.

I guess mine would be the invisible wall in Motocross Madness...if you cross it, you get flung in the other direction...200 feet in the air 8O

also in Halo, silent carto, if you try to push the jeep between the trees (you know which ones) too hard, the jeep pushes you back...under the map :(

The MIRV adds some nice experimental deaths, like firing it at the ground and launching yourself away, leaping off tenpenny tower and hurdling yourself to the Robco building, firing straight up, or setting it off inside Rivet City Market.

A physics glitch in Crysis. I went to switch out the gun I was carrying with one on the ground. The gun I dropped bounced off the ground at terminal velocity into my head and killed me.

EDIT: Another death in Crysis, although not a glitch. I fired the rocket launcher at a helicopter and missed, so I started to run towards a building before the helicopter could turn to fire on me. Just as I reached the edge of the builing the apparently laser-guided rocket had circled around and hit the wall my cursor was on, which happened to be like 2 feet away.
