Dragon Age: Origins - Awakening.

I love the original game, I even liked the novels, but they screwed up Awakening real bad.

My character looks like a walking inkblot with all the buffs on. The bugs are almost game breaking. They introduce a character that look promosing but kill em' 20 minutes into the game. They made the game a bit too easy. And some of the loyalty missions are either bugged or they are "chance" encounters. That shit was old 1998, people!

Why the fuck does Utha have hair?!

I don't see how they will ever tie things together in the end, to be honest. The Architect, the blight, the fade? Either Bioware know what they are doing, or shit will blow up in their face.

A classic case of rushed-out-the-door.

Prototype for me, I was in with the whole Prototype VS inFAMOUS and bought Prototype because I thought it would be more fun but in the end it just felt clunky, boringly grey and glitchy and apart from finding the web of thoughts (or whatever the fuck it's called) I lost interest after 2 days. Interestingly I bought inFAMOUS a few months later and found it infinately better, the story and controls are tighter and is one of the few games where I actually enjoyed the side missions.

GTA 4, Bioshock and Half-Life. According to the internet they're the Gods of Videogames. To my brain they all had horrible gunplay, lack luster story (nonexistent in GTA4)and in the case of Bioshock, is ended up being a frantic search for health packs. It wasn't even scary, the "scariest" part was hoping I could get to the next part without being killed. And it wasn't Dead Space where if you die it's horrible to watch, you just kind of fall to the ground.
I still do not understand why did you didn't like HL, it is my favorite game. Not that I disagree with your opinion, but I cannot get it why you do not like it.
I only played it about two years ago, and by then the graphics, game play, and story had all been done and done better. There was nothing special, besides boring cutscenes that I was more interested with wondering around the area than actually sitting and listening to what's going on. I still absorbed the story, I knew for the most part why I was doign what I was doing but...I just couldn't get into it. If I bought just HL I would have returned, but luckily I bought the Orange Box and Portal and TF2 won me over.

Fallout 3. The world is not interesting, the game is too difficult and the combat sucks. I really cannot get over the fact that everywhere is the same. I mean, I understand that that's what a wasteland would be like, but it was so boring.

Most dissapointing game ever:

Overlord.
I completely agree. All it really needed to be was a promise of endless rampant mayhem executed by demons ruled by your almighty iron fist. Instead, somewhere after the first chapter it became an incredibly obtuse battle of micromanagement with a control system totally unsuited to the very concept of "micromanagement."

I was happiest when the little guys were just looting and pillaging that first area. Not throwing themselves randomly at meatgrinders or flinging themselves into rivers like possessed lemmings...

With out a doubt "Borderlands" I've had it for 4 months now and only about 3 hours of gameplay...I just don't have the patience to get to the fun part. If that will ever come...
if the opening isn't fun to you, there is something wrong.

beyond that, la-mulana.

jesus christ im okay with hard, just so long as its genuine difficulty

if my character FOLLOWED MY FUCKING INSTRUCTIONS the game would have been piss-easy and *gasp* enjoyable.

A split between Borderlands, Fable II and MW2.

BL and MW2 both (for me) promised brilliant campaign stories. They didn't. The story was sort of there in MW2, you could see the basics of (a totally unrealistic and nuts) plot - but in BL, it was almost like the entire writing cast died before they finished. Or, like thye wrote the entire plot the day before it was meant to be handed in.
Gameplay wise - not too bad. Generic run-and-gun.
both of them, I was really looking forwards to. And was somewhat disapointed.

Fable II - had a plot, and are great cast but -
the way your character acts - atleast have some speech! The ability to marry anyone - but they're all the same, annoying. There didn't seem to be any point, other than to open up one of the plot points.
And the bugs. Eee gads, the bugs. On one save, it was impossible to progress through the swampy-graveyard to reach Reaver.

Brutal Legend. I didn't like how later fights were basically shitty RTS ripoffs. This is even more dissapointing when I love metal, and sandboxes.

Probably Far Cry 2.

I really just couldnt get around the odd animations, weird gunplay and the seemingly excrutatingly low FPS rate.

And Bioshock 2, just the same as the first with the guns in disguise basically.
i definitely agree far cry 2 could have been a lot better but in the end it was just terrible

How the hell can they be "RTS ripoffs"? It is an RTS, you can't rip off a genre you're part of.

Modern Warfare 2. I was expecting them to actually change something from the first game. How foolish I was....

Borderlands hands down. I played for like 3 hours and got really tired of killing Jason with average shooting and not being able to die.

Before I bought the game I believed that it was a sand box because of the trailers. It was never marketed as an RTS and doesn't work as one, I see it as a sandbox not an RTS and that is why I think that its an RTS ripoff.
