I'm curious to see what you guys have in mind for these categories in gaming. There's tonnes of games I haven't heard of so maybe you guys have some different ones :) Let's hear them escapists!

Fun: The Zelda Series (But if I had to pick one... Ocarina of Time)
I loved the whole series, I have to admit, the puzzles and dungeons alike. The old N64 and SNES bring back memories on a lot of old games that were awesome for their time, and in some cases, still fun to play til this day :)

Addicting: Ragnarok Online or Fairyland
Even though I still play WoW now and again (I still haven't reached level 85 on any of my characters -.-) This game kept me playing for a long time. Given, I played RO on a private server, I don't know whether it was the "friend-base" you'd have playing on a pvt server, or whether it was just the fun anime-type gameplay that kept it fun. One or the other, great game none the less.

Fairyland; I know, the name sounds really gay for a MMO, but the turn based combat (FF style) was really fun to get into, the game is great as long as there's friends to play with, and I believe recently the game's been made free to play for NA players

Nostalgic: Dune 2
I have to say that my favorite nostalgic game was a classic RTS I used to have on 4 floppy discs on my old IBM. I still remember playing it back in 1993, definitely one of the best older RTS's up there with C&C:Covert Ops and the like.

Frustrating: I Wanna Be The Guy
This game is a bastard! I don't usually get frustrated with a game but this THING takes the cake(-.-). It had me at wits end. For those of you who don't know about the game, google it, its a free download. If you can beat this game without losing your sanity well... MY HATS OFF TO YOU MY FRIEND. I eventually gave up with this game. Its a Megaman-esc type game, you can jump and shoot basically. Random things kill you, and when you die there's a comforting guitar solo where Slash bursts into your room while you're playing and smashes you on the head with his guitar and calls you a fag. Well maybe that's not exactly what happens.. still, worth a play if you want to see what I'm talking about.

Well that's my list, how about you guys?

It's a bit hard to choose a single game but i'll try.

Fun: Left 4 Dead 2
I have a had many laughs in this game because i have been playing with friends... so i guess thats sort of cheating ^^.

Addicting: Garrys Mod
Yeah i know its a mod but so far it has been the game i have played the most, i just constantly had to try out new ideas for contraptions.

Nostalgic: Mostly games for the PS2, i can't decide on a single one.

Frustrating: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
I very rarely get frustrated but MW2 really pissed me off

Fun: It changes depending on what my current obsession is. Currently it's Minecraft and GTA IV, but overall it's probably Oblivion.

Addicting: Minecraft. No doubt. Civilization IV as a close second.

Nostalgic: Hm. Commander Keen 4, perhaps. Or Transport Tycoon, Hocus Pocus, Secret Agent, Crystal Caves. There are so many that I could write a whole list just of games I played as a kid. Monkey Island, Day of the Tentacle, Sam and Max hit the Road.. I just don't know.

Frustrating: Super Meat Boy. I've made it into the second world, and I just... don't care anymore. It's frustrating to the point where I don't want to bother trying the same twitch-bullshit fifty times over when I could spend that half hour playing something more entertaining and making actual progress. Yes, I suck at it. Doesn't make it any more fun for me, nor any more valid a point when people tell me that "that's the point".

Addicting: Minecraft. No contest. That fucking game should be called Crackcraft, I swear...

Nostalgic: Mortal Kombat Trilogy. I used to play that on my PS with my mum when I was only widdle. She always beat me, the *****... =P

Frustrating: COD. I hate the playerbase, and they piss me right off.

Fun: Team Fortress 2. Well, more satisfying.

Addicting: Fallout 3. So much to explore, new gear to find, perks to get!

Nostalgic: Banjo-Kazooie. So fun and fluent those games were.

Frustrating: Super Meat Boy. (OH MY GOD A STRAY PIXEL HIT THE LAST SAW AND I FUCKING DIED.)

Addicting: MW2/BLOPS. Idk about Blops really because I have to stay away from it.

Nostalgic: L4D &Crash Bandicoot. I have over 300 hours on L4D, I made some great (and some very very not great) friends. And Crash was the first game I ever played...I think.

Frustrating: Super Meat Boy, Tetris.

You buggers are so young. It makes me sad for you.

Fun: Oblivion or Fallout 3 because I know how to level up really quickly without grinding in both those games, so they are a breeze, while still offering a new way to play almost every time.

Addictive: Dragon Age or Fallout 3.

Nostalgic: Ready, you young punks? Missile Defense. Simple, yet so difficult. And you never won. Ever. Do you think gamers today could deal with that?

Frustrating: The Lost Levels. "Oooh, a one-up mushroom! Wait, what? Some of them freakin KILL YOU? WTF?!"

Fun: Monster Hunter series, nothing ever beats the feeling of getting three other friends together and taking down a giant monster using nothing but our wits and swords so big that it would seem like our entire team would have to be dedicated to swinging a single weapon together. Also explosives, delicious, delicious explosives.

Addictive: Well considering that I played it for a good six years, Final Fantasy XI takes this one by far. Second would have to be the recently obtained Rune Factory 3, time just disappears whenever I turn it on.

Nostalgic: Earthbound for the SNES. A game I have played at least once every year since I was about five or six. The charm, humor, and contrast of such innocent characters facing such a creepy enemy never wears off.

Frustrating: Gonna have to go with Monster Hunter again. Despite how fun it is there are always those time when the Wyverns decide to just completely ruin your da- No! Stop charging me into the corner! Let me get up! You cheating bastard let me get up! Stop sweeping with your tail! God dammit! No! I need to use a potion! Stop charging! (@#*&$#(*&%#(%$!

Fun: Oblivion, Saints Row 2, Halo Reach. (can't choose one)

Addictive: None really, but if I had to choose one it would be Dragon Age.

Nostalgic: Pokemon Yellow. No question. That game almost brings me to tears when I play it.

Frustrating: I love it, but Terrorist Hunt on Rainbow Six Vegas 2. Co-op, realistic difficulty, last life, one enemy left. Then BAM! You're both dead. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

Fun: Super Smash Brothers Brawl. All the time me and my brother spent on that game, all the games with my sister and cousins. I love each and every second of it.

Addicting: Team Fortress 2. I play it a few hours every day. And it never gets old. And yet I still have yet to craft my first hat.

Nostalgic: Super Mario RPG Legend of the Seven Stars. The best RPG ever made. I play through it once a year, 100%. And it's always fun.

Frustrating: Modern Warfare 2. I'm sure you all know why by now.

Fun: when you go off the rails, probably a sandbox like GTA or Saints Row 2. Sticking solely to story, though, I vote Tomba!
Addicting: Iron Realms online MUDs.
Nostalgic: Jumping Flash!
Frustrating: Resident Evil 5 if you don't have a co-op partner...

Oh boy, where to begin....

Fun - Team Fortress 2 - Xbox 360. There is nothing more satisfying than backstabbing some ignorant sniper or getting a shower of crits while blasting everything away with the Heavy.

Addicting - Tekken 4 - PS2. I once completed everyone's storyline 4 times in one day... damn that awesome game!

Nostalgic - Super Smash Bros. - N64. I remember playing as Captain Falcon on Very Hard with only one life.... what a great game...

Frustrating - Castlevania - NES. DAMN THOSE MEDUSA HEADS!
