Off the top of my head; I always hate playing against Golbez in either of the Dissidia Final Fantasy games.

Demi Fiend optional boss in Digital Devil Saga, graaaaaahhhhhhhhhh. I wouldn't care so much if defeating him didn't give you an item in part 2.

A while back I would have said Carp in Dwarf Fortress.

You do know that's a parody of this song...

...right? Riiiiiiiiiiiiight?
Of course I do. But I never had too much trouble with Air Man even on Difficult mode. It was Quick Man who wrecked me in that game. Miltank however, provides more frustration than all 8 of MM2's robot masters put together.

Oh, and that's not the only redo of Air Man ga Taosenai:

Hoping to see more made from some of the more infamously difficult bosses in the future. Can't defeat Boost Man (Metroid Prime 2)? Can't defeat Bug Woman (Starcraft 2)?

In my honest opinion, Quick Man is a chump. It's his stage, with all the lasers, that gets me. And I will agree that Whitney's Miltank is very annoying, even in the remake. (I beat it with Dragon Rage and a Revive...and a borrowed Pokemon. My team was at about level 18.)

Alright, time to unleash some bile and hatred. I had to think quite a bit on this, because I don't usually bother keeping count. Nevertheless, here we go...

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance 1 & 2 - I like these games, but there are things in it that I hate. First on the list? Rust creatures. Who thought THIS was a good idea? The best items in the game are metal, and therefore instantly destroyed by this thing. Also, those stalatite things that keep pulling you in and you have next to no way to avoid them or resist. Can't say I liked ANY of the golems in the Onyx Tower either.

Final Fantasy X - Seymour. Right, so...you've heard of a Decoy Protagonist, right? He's the antagonist version of that, and irritating to boot. Four flipping boss battles, all of them annoying...except for the last one. The truly carthartic thing about him was that his final battle was pathetically easy, and his idea of taking over Sin from the inside...embarassing. Obviously, I didn't like Yunalesca either.

Soul Calibur 3 - Raphael was made to be hated. End of story.

The Grilgan from Lost Odyssey drove me half insane. First of all it pops up with very little warning, so it's easy to walk right into it. And if you haven't grinded up a few levels then you don't have a chance. To my knowledge there's only one strategy to beat it, and it wasn't like it was obvious or anything, I died six times before caving in and checking online. Even if you follow the strategy perfectly you can still lose if RNG isn't on your side. Downburst = Cheapest Attack Ever.

To top it off, this is the first freaking boss and it's easily harder than anything else in the game. He doesn't even have a connection to the story, he's just a random monster who tries to eat you. I'm not one to call bullshit on difficult bosses, but i'm convinced they didn't fully test this fight before release. Most of the people i've met who played the game quit after getting stuck on him.

Cazadores are a problem because you can drop dead 15 seconds AFTER they are all gone... happens way too often actually.

Frakkin' Zubat. Every time.

I've posted lengthy rants on my zubat hatred previously. Doubtless I will do so again. For now however, I shall satisfy myself with pointing out that I absolutely hate the tiny little bastards and their supersonic ability.

Boldore in Black/White replaces them, courtesy of the new-and-improved sturdy ability

Pyro.

Ugh. Since the Backburner's damage boost is so powerful, has 100% crit chance from behind, PLUS they readded the airblast, on top of the afterburn that inflicts 60 more damage, it's just fucking madness, being killed in two seconds of exposure.

Can someone explain the reason of using the default flamethrower over the Backburner?

The flying knight's that blocked your sword and could shoot fireballs from The Legend of Zelda: The Adventure of Link. The were nearly impossible to kill and they were only at the end of the game. I despise them. I never beat that game because of them. To this day I live in shame knowing that I never beat that LOZ game. That Ganon noise that the game makes when you get game over is still embedded deep in my psyche and has become synonymous with any personal demoralizing defeat. I hate those things.

Deathclaws in Fallout 3 are easy once you have the dart gun.
Deathclaws in New Vegas are easy once you have the sniper rifle.
The Mother Deathclaw in Boneyard from the original Fallout is my true enemy.

And as someone else said, it is pretty frustrating to get above level twenty in Oblivion only to be murdered repeatedly by new monsters that are somehow more powerful.

Bloated Dire Spiders from Neverwinter Nights. They poison you, then knock you down, then kill you. Repeatedly.

I just sent my henchman in there and stood back firing arrows. Until the spider killed my henchman, came after me, killed me and caused me to scream at the computer. Over and over. Until I beat the darned thing and quickly saved my game. Only to come upon another one a few minutes later! Argh!!!!

I agree whit Shao Kahn. really fuck him and his mega health stunlooking practically endless breakers and throwing immunity ass.

Anyone agree that it's a damn shame that you can't select him in the fatality traning mode? because it it were possible I would do Quan Shis first fatality whit endless legbeating and let it go on for hours.
