It's a tie between the conversation with Vigil in the original Mass Effect and the final confrontation with Dagoth Ur in Morrowind.

Watching my brother run through a forest on Red Dead Redemption and run striaght into a bear he couldnt see because the character was in the way of vision, only to be attacked from behind from another bear.

One of my most memorable experiences has to be from Oblivion - not only was it my first next-gen game, but it was my second RPG, Diablo II being the first. Yeah, I don't know how I missed out on so many RPGs either. So anyway, I was following the main quest which required me to go to Kvatch. I got to the side of the winding mountain path to the town when the sky began to redden. Huh. Must be dawn or something. I thought. Little did I know the slight reddening was the first sign of Hell being unleashed. A few minutes later and I'm storming a demon-infested castle with the surviving town guard. That was really cool.

Evolving one of my pokemon on a high friendship level. But I'm ashamed to say it took me 'til Pkmn Diamond to figure out how to do it. T_T

When I beat Zelda Ocarina of Time for the 1st time... I was so happy... The 1st game I had ever beaten. It was an important milestone in my life.

This comes from one of the 'random encounters' in Red Dead. It was the first time I saw a man going at one of the brothel workers with a knife. I tried to lassoo him, missed and he killed the girl.

I felt really bad about letting her die. It still haunts me in a way. Very prominent in my mind whenever I saw that situation again.

The feeling I had when I first played oblivion.
I spent the first hour seeing how much I could do in the world.

Memorable Single player experience: The first time I saw the moon crash in Zelda Majora's Mask.

Memorable Multiplayer experiences:

1. During a Halo 2 match, I jumped from a large structure and landed right next to a Warthog with a player in it. I hijacked him after leaving a grenade. I got away and he finished in pieces.

2. During an Age of Empire 2 game, We were having a team deathmatch. It was 4 vs 4 and it was pretty tight. Every attack was stopped. After 2 hours, I had a smart idea. I used catapults to destroy the woods and made us an entrance to their weak spot. The look on their faces was priceless.

It didn't take very long for them to crumble.

The first time I played Call of Duty 4. That game introduced me to "real" FPS games.
Oh yeah, I enjoyed Portal from Start to Finish. It started my love affair with Valve.

The first time I played GTA III. Brand new PS2 + brand new installment of one of my favourite series = strong decline in social life. I was sssooo addicted to that game.

Best gaming-related experiences:

1. Waking up one morning and beating "Green Grass And High Tides" on expert guitar on my first try. I pooped a little.

2. Playing the level "Guilty Spark 343" on the original Halo. That level terrified me for almost a year, and I couldn't play it alone. Seriously.

3. My first week on Halo 2 on XBox Live. The world has yet to recover from the swearing habit I developed.

4. Beating "The Jungle Book" on the Sega Genesis. First game I ever beat. I think I may have pooped a little then, as well.

5. Oblivion. Just...Oblivion.

My most memorable is also my first.

Starting up my NES for the first time and playing Super Mario Bros. The beginning of a love that has lasted over 20 years.

Surviving Touhou 7: Perfect Cherry Blossom on Lunatic. Got to the final spell card (a damned time-out card no less) for Yuyuko with no lives and one bomb left. That theme never pumped me up like it did then.

On topic: Finally completing Test Chamber 15 in Portal. It was a massive difficulty spike for me compared to the previous chambers, and once I began Thinking With Portals and passed all the challenges I was ecstatic. Portal 2 looks to be even more of a mindfuck however, so I'm anticipating that.
