So what is the game you bought and then most regretted buying?
It could be that you bought it before you realised you didn't have the time to play it, you bought it then it was a piece of absolute tripe or maybe you tried to convince yourself all the other people who told you it was tripe were wrong.
For whatever reason, most of us have, at some point, bought a game that was just plain bad.
So which is your most regretted game purchase and why?

Black Ops PC easily. It's been months and it still doesn't work properly, and now they've released a map pack before they fixed some seriously huge issues.

Men of War and Men of War: Red Tide.

I bought them because my girlfriend played them.

She dumped me pretty quickly after.

Street fighter IV.
Really not my kind of game, but I had heard so many good things and I figured I'd give it a chance. Mistake.

Brutal Legend. I had a huge hassle trying to buy it that nearly resulted in me getting beat up by two very large bearded men, (I won't get into it now, it's a long story and it makes me look like an asshole,)And I didn't even enjoy at all when I got it home.

I regret buying Armored Core 4. I loved Armored Core 3 and all of its spin-off titles, so I went out and got AC4 as soon as I finally got a PlayStation 3. Only to discover that they ruined everything that I liked about AC3 from the controls to the customization to the gameplay.

Seriously-- WHO MAKES A SHOOTER GAME WHERE THE DEFAULT CONTROLS DONT ALLOW YOU TO SIDESTEP?!?!

Definitely Spore and Unreal Tournament 3. I was hoping UT3 was a finally a good successor to UT99. I was wrong.

Spore...well that speaks for itself. I bought the hype big time. Ended up with a turd.

I'm glad I only spend 15 euros on that. Somehow still glad I bought it. I'm still looking for that one fighting game I can pick up and play decently. Maybe the recent Mortal Kombat...

Starfox Assault for the gamecube. I didn't read up on it, so when I beat it without using a continue in a couple of hours on my first playthrough and saw the name Namco appear as the credits rolled, it was a revelation for me. A worse game even than Starfox Adventures. Super-easy, none of the creativity of the first 2, and worse dialogue/voice acting than Starfox 64. I immediately traded it in

Here we go again...

Drakenguard of course.

Look at the box: It's got a controllable dragon, and huge battles with tons of dudes for you to kill. And it's only 7$ used. How bad could this be?

The pain... the horror...
