Easily the 70$ spent on Maple Story.

I could have bought Pokemon and had a way better year of my life spent.

Also noteworthy: Bullet Candy (Nice effort, terrible execution), and Monday Night Combat (Shut up about the TF2 nonsense already, I love how this game is crafted, but they desperately need to tweak the balance in this game. Plus the gunner is really cute to me).

Mass Effect: Never got further than 60 minutes in. Too much faffing around, not enough combat.
The King of Fighters XII: Unplayable mess of a game.
Prototype: Way, way, waaaaaaay too many missions that are just about all the same.
Red Faction Guerrilla: There is nothing guerrilla about this game and some of the missions were just too frustrating.

Modern Warfare 2, the worst game I ever purchase. I got more out of Two Worlds than I did MW2.

Devil May Cry 4. I don't know what possessed me to buy that thing, but it wasn't anywhere near as useful as what possessed the protagonists.

Nier.
"So what if Yahtzee hated it?" I asked myself as I eyed it on the shelf, reduced to only five dollars for EB Games' Christmas sale. "Yahtzee hates JRPGs, and it's been several years since I got to play one. It was made by Square, how terrible can it be? Besides, one of my friends played it and he said it was fantastic, and he has good taste."

Oh boy. I could deal with the slow plot, and I liked the combat system. The dungeons were bearable. While the voice acting was shoddy and kept vanishing and re-appearing almost randomly, I still loved Weis' voice.
But oh sweet Lord, the character design. The main character looked silly, but I could deal with that. Then the heroine was introduced. She wasn't even wearing clothes, she was painful to look at. The only thing she had covering her ass was a flimsy mesh thing. The game seemed to be proud of this, because the camera kept showing me her ass, shoving it at the camera like a child begging for praise. I couldn't even look at it, and every time I looked away from the screen in disgust my immersion was shattered.

Fortunately, that scene ended, and I went on. Determined to give the game my friend had praised so highly another chance, I pressed on. An hour later, I was forced to do a fishing minigame. I spent almost an hour trying to figure out how to do it, following the instructions perfectly, before giving up.
I haven't touched it since then.

The worst part is? I could have gotten Alpha Protocol in that sale.

Farcry instincts for xbox360. Holy hell why did I pay $19.99 my friend kept telling me farcry had amazing stealth and great things to do...I hated it I could never hide because hiding in a bush doesn't seem to be proper cover and half the time I run into a camp guns firing hoping I can find medkits and don't get shot to much.

F1 2010. Got it full price because I wanted a decent racer, not one that's is brutally realistic and doesn't even have a decent tutorial.

Dragon Age 2. I got sucked in by the RPG-ness of it all and I found I just can not get into it. I can't return it either because it was a Steam purchase.

I regret buying Armored Core 4. I loved Armored Core 3 and all of its spin-off titles, so I went out and got AC4 as soon as I finally got a PlayStation 3. Only to discover that they ruined everything that I liked about AC3 from the controls to the customization to the gameplay.

Seriously-- WHO MAKES A SHOOTER GAME WHERE THE DEFAULT CONTROLS DONT ALLOW YOU TO SIDESTEP?!?!

LOL Same. Armored Core seemed awesome, but then I realized that it was just a bunch of mini-games that were supposedly "Missions" It was horrible

Oh and Final Fantasy 13. I regret that game to no end.

It's pretty much a tie between Black Ops and The Witcher. Wasted hours, wasted money.

Final Fantasy X-2. I loved the first one, and I thought to myself, something so good couldn't have a bad sequel.

Oh the naïvety of youth. I've never played a game more annoying. It had one plus and one plus only over the original and that was skippable cutscenes.
Whilst it did shit all over the story of FFX, I found the combat fun and the levelling system great.

The rest... Eeeeehhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

All I'll say is... "Characters".

[sup][sup]Also, lack of Auron. [/sup][/sup]

Siren.

It had an interesting idea and great graphics but it was just frustrating.
"Will you open the door?" Yes.
"Will you put the key in the ignition?" ...Yes.
"Will you start the car?" YES.
"Will you drive the car?" FOR CHRIST SAKES YES!

And then the guy goes and crashes the thing anyway.

Here's about all I knew and understood about the Guilty Gear franchise: their character design and 2D sprite style is second to none, the moves are crazy, and the gameplay Japan-difficult (that is to say, way beyond my meager button-mashing abilities).

On a whim and because it was sort-of-but-not-really on sale, I bought Guilty Gear XX Accent Core. I plan on writing a full rant about it later on, but for now let's just say there's no proper story, barely any translation, and two of the favourite characters are only unlocked after completing an impossible task. Then I look it up online and discover that everything I desired and wanted to choke the developer over was present in Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus.

I bought Guilty Gear XX Accent Core: the Shit Version, and I didn't even know it. Now I'm trying to trick somebody else into buying it off me and suffering like I did, so I can use the funds to buy the real game.
