Not really. Why? A lot of you are writing that. Some reviewers thought the graphics blew.

What is everyone talking about?

My kids won't stop playing online multi-player. I think the visuals are among the best I've seen on the 360.

Did you like the other COD games? Modern Warfare 1 and 2? World at War? Zombies?

Everyone just getting sick of this format regardless of whether it was great or not?

On topic: I'll stick with Gen 7. I'll go with Grand Theft Auto 4. Perfect 10s out there. I was all Jazzed because I got it new for $30 while it was still $50ish in most places. I made the mistake of playing the far superior Saints Row first. By comparison, GTA 4 was ugly, dull, slow paced... I've barely touched it.

Thanks to all the review sites and discussion boards though, this is the best generation I've experienced so far, at least in terms of not being disappointed in games. But GTA 4 had all the raves, I didn't have any advance warning.

There was a Gamecube game, Spyro: Enter the dragonfly.
I was very young and enjoyed the Spyro the Dragon Series.
It was the first game I ever regretted purchasing.
I liked the game, personally, but compared to the originals, it doesn't even hold a candle. I need to get the original Spyro games..

I had gotten the new one for the wii for Christmas, and the only thing I remotely liked about that game was the ability to fly, and the scenery looked nice. I'm sick and tired of waggling my wii remote about to attack. A simple button press couldn't suffice? It'd make me shake the remote so often against enemies, then it would make me shake it again a ton of times to open some door.

NOT FUN. But it wasn't my money wasted on it, that's the only positive.

Hands down, "Mario Is Missing" for the Super Nintendo, I was maybe seven when I got the game and had no idea what to do and it has to be one of the worse games I've ever played, that being said, I haven't played that game since so it might be fun but eh

Easily Mario Hoops 3 on 3.

I don't know what I was thinking, I don't really even like basketball all that much.

Halo:ODST, a map-pack that I never played much online with. Firefight didn't have matchmaking. The campaign was incredibly short. It was amazing to me but it was so cheesy and short I can never take Halo serious ever again. Wasn't worth $60 at the time.

and would it be considered a bad thing to say from what I've seen so far I've enjoyed 9-10 games listed on this thread?
I'm with you. Bioshock!?!?! And he payed $5 for it? Trolling? I've asked someone else on this board why all the Black Ops hate. Are people just sick of the format?

Even if they are sick of it, was that really the most disappointing game for them?

A pay to play MMO called Shadowbane. I was 8 and it didn't make it all that clear it was a pay to play, or online. It just looked like a normal RPG. How angry I was. Couldn't even return it. >_<

Drakenguard of course.

Look at the box: It's got a controllable dragon, and huge battles with tons of dudes for you to kill. And it's only 7$ used. How bad could this be?

The pain... the horror...
Is it that bad? I was looking into getting it.

Hm...probably that Lord of the Rings: Conquest thing or whatever it was. Seriously that thing was awful. Hell, I derived more enjoyment from MySims for the DS... ;-)

Halo Wars - it was some fun but but after a sitting or two I had already seen everything it had to offer - should have been a rental.

Funnily enough I so don't regret getting that game.
It was limited, crudely made, repetative. However my friend and I joked about it the whole way through as we played, and one particular spear weapon created a catchphrase.
"POKE WITH STICK!"
"POKE WITH STICK!"
"POKE WITH STICK!"

It just matched the animation so well. I don't regret a thing.

Its not bad it depends if you like hack and slashers and besides it has 76 weapons how would the game not get old?
I regretted buying Section 8 the game just wasn't anything original about it and its multiplayer only

Black Ops(ps3)by miles, was on to activision about the mess of a game they sold me.
Never buying an Activision game again.
Same here. My massive complaint has been that there was no persistent splitscreen profiles. It was the best thing about MW2 and the only reason I wanted the game! I only ever play CoD offline splitscreen with friends (the online community if, frankly, retarded) and the gimped the one thing that was a draw to the game and I was incredibly pissed off.
I'm waiting until MW2 gets down to about $15 bucks, then I'll just buy that.

OT: I bought Mercenaries 2 on PS3 when it came out. Lo and behold, it turned out to be a massive shitstorm of a game. Messy design and execution, and it felt like they didn't even test the levels before they released the game. The worst part was that you could tell there was a really good game underneath it all and it was the sequel to one of the best games to ever be released on PS2, and yet with such a pedigree and mostly the same team working on it, it turned out so badly.

Lord of the rings: conquest.

It was not as fun as the demo and the scout and wizard class were beyond all recognition, over powered
