The sound of a helmat being hit by a hammer and a piece of celery being snapped that signified a headshot in Call of Duty World at War. I could listen to that all day and I will confess that sometimes I have.

I think it was in Call of Duty 4, the little ding of a headshot. So satisfying.
I barely play that game, let alone get headshots and even less frequently snipe, but when all the above come together, I'm happy for the rest of the match.

I like the ones in Gears of War.
Regular hits make this "ttiisshhh" tearing like sound while headshots make a "cloooshhh" crushing sound.

I like it when the enemies are talking smack at you in Borderlands and you blow their head off with whatever weapon you're using and instantly silence them. XD

Gear of War hitting an enemy with a Torque bow, I love how it gives them the couple of seconds to realise how dead they are, very satisfying specially on friends 'oh sh.......!!!'
This is tied with the sound from the recent Call of Duty games, as well as the hit-marker in Battlefield: Bad Company 2. It seems strange, but when you take a long-range sniper shot with several feet of bullet drop, seeing that little X feels great.Regiment said:

From when you went head-on, and successfully took out anything that could be recognized that as the front of his car. Granted, the announcer guy didn't say that EVERY time, but more often than not on head-on crashes, that was the line for me.
