Gary Hoey instrumentals.

...or, y'know, an MC Hawking Holiday. Look that one up yourself, and be warned of excessively explicit lyrics.

Carol of the Bells is one of my favorites...I love it because it's got such a dark, almost creepy sound to it. I love that shit.

Well, Fairytale of New York, but also Merry Christmas (I don't want to fight tonight) by the Ramones and of course...

Oh and anything from the Phil Spector Christmas album.

This version of silent night:
But even that's close enough to being a normal Christmas song to annoy me. Is it really necessary for exactly the same songs to be played absolutely everywhere for several weeks every single year?

Any thoughts on this?
IMO, it's great.

I like Christmas music, just not contemporary Christmas music with lyrics.
Man, as a massive ABR fan, how did I miss this? This is awesome, thanks for the song.

OT: I cant stand much of what Christmas is, but the carols and songs drive me absolutely nuts and now they are playing them at work its worse. But thanks to the quoted post it may be little more tolerable.

I love Weird Al's sense of the holiday season.

No, this is not about 9/11, this was written fifteen years before it happened.

Frank Sinatra, and only Frank Sinatra, singing "Let it Snow." The man had a beastly voice.
An Escapist after my own heart. I can actually do a rather good impression of Ol' Blue Eyes singing this.

Carol of the Bells. The Choral version. Orchestral is ok, but I heard a techno version once. *shudder*.

I would pick Corey Taylor's X-M@$

It's funny, it's a sentiment that people could learn from...not the whole getting drunk thing, but definitely the fact that people spend so much money on toys instead of better causes. Plus, the proceeds of this song are being donated to the Teenage Cancer Trust (a very worthy cause), so it's a good'un!

I work at a place that does that, let me reassure you that it is just awful,I've heard Frosty the Snowman, Rudolf the Reindeer, and Santa Clause is Coming to Town probably close to a hundred times in the last month.

I don't think it would go over too well with some of the customers though...

The Nutcracker is okay.
The Nutcracker is brilliant, but unfortunately it doesn't have anything to do with Christmas (I don't think). It's just some of the pieces from it tend to be played around Christmas time for some reason (as well as the ballet).

OT: The Christmas songs sung by a choir are normally not bad.
