We all have one...

First a little backstory. There is a guy who lives across the street from me, is a pain in my ass, and won't leave me alone. I have done all in my power to make it so I don't have any social contact with him (Not going to explain why, lets just say he is a bit eccentric when he comes to hanging out with friends, and that he is a very annoying person.)

So after completing this impressive feat I load up Left 4 Dead 2 and get into a match of No Mercy and everything is going Fine. We finish and I do another search, am placed in a game, and guess who is in the lobby? Him. If I left the game he would come over and bother me about why I did, and if I stayed I would be annoyed to shit for the whole match. i decided to stay and suffice to say this extremely convenient occurrence ended up being not much fun to say the least.

My multiplayer horror story would have to be my unfortunate meeting with one of the most hopelessly obssessive and aggressive posse of gamers I have ever encountered.

What started off as a simple ranked team slayer match on halo 3, became a rivalry to last almost two damn weeks. It started out simple, I joined up with a random team of people all without mics, we ended up against your typical clan (all matching emblems, all gamertags having some similarity, if i remember correctly they all contained the phrase L337). It ended up being one of my better games, I was the only guy on my team with a postive kill/death spread and to top it off I got MVP.

As soon as the match went to lobby they all went ballistic. I was accused of aim botting, hacking, camping, grenade spamming and all the other usual excuses. Not only that but my rep took a massive nose dive not soon after, apparently being good at first person shooters is unsportsmanlike conduct. Then to top it all off they stalked me through as many Halo 3 matches as they could, targeting me in every single one. This continued at regular intervals for two weeks until i can only imagine they got bored and backed off.

I went online for the first time on l4d (I had it on xbox...I dont like xbox people much, and before you asked you know if your a idiot on it or not, its just theirs a lot of idiots and I cba when bots are avalible) and this guy team killed me going HOW DO YOU LIKE IT.

I then got hate mail sent to me, and stalked for a while.

I was like wtf, but it turns out my younger brother had been online team killing for fun. Needless to say after explaining he eventually backed off....and my brother got falcon punched.

Another was in mw2 where I won the game for my team(it was sabatoge) and I got loads of hate mail from a 3 playr party saying how they were better because they got more kills, and they followed me into hardcore and team killed me.

Online is gay sometimes

NOTE: apologies for spelling mistakes, Im tired.

I was playing a multiplayer match on Medal of Honor: Allied Assault. I was decidedly "average" at the game, it being the first one I'd ever played on a PC. Anyway, for giggles I decided to go with the unscoped bolt action rifle on a medium-sized indoor/outdoor map. Match starts and I run to the center of the building which housed a large room connected by three well-used hallways. I spotted an enemy and got off a lucky shot, getting the first kill of the match.

Immediately the guy begins spamming messages saying "You f***ing cheater, you're using wall hacks!" Being very new to online gaming, I had no idea what that meant. I responded by assuring him it was just a lucky shot: he ran through a high-traffic area and I was just there at the right time to take advantage of it. This dude kept spitting blood about it, and then suddenly I began getting killed every time I spawned. Turns out the guy started using wall hacks and hunting me down for my perceived offense. I wanted to say "two wrongs don't make a right," though that didn't really make sense as I'd never done anything wrong in the first place; I just left and played on the 24 Hour Omaha server.

That was the last time I played an online FPS until CoD4.

If I were you OP I'd have just left and when he come over to ask why, told him to fuck off. Makes things a lot easier.

I was playing Halo: Reach's firefight mode and if I got into a vehicle or a turret that could be in any way useful, he would melee it until I got out so I wouldn't die! Then he would use it and as revenge I would drive the vehicle off a cliff, destroy it with some grenades or just snipe him.

Once playing halo 3(I know) I was on two man teams and a couple of jerks got matched up with us,
They started having a go at my tag as soon as they popped into the session, then started slagging off my rank and my W/L ratio (Hadn't been playing long, and was having a particularly bad day)in what was quite possibly the most stereotypical "stupid American" accent you can imagine(I couldn't do it on purpose!) if that wasn't bad enough I didn't know how to mute at the time so spent my entire time in the lobby and much of the match listening to these yahoos.

I wish I could say this ended happily, with me kicking both their arses single Handedly while my partner quaked in fear of my ferociousness, but alas they were actually quite good and as I said It just wasn't my day so they killed me repetedly and dominated the scoreboard thus forcing me to say "fuck this!" and go do somthing else.

You should complain to him that he wasn't very annoying, and should've tried to troll you harder.

One was a starcraft 2 match (2v2) where my ally decided that a mass hellion build would be a fantastic idea against two terrans. In a thirty minute game he only built 4 marines and god knows how many hellions. They did have blue flame tough.

Anyone play Team Fortress 2?

Of course many of you do.

Well, you know how (I think) on some servers Dispensers shoot slow-moving targeting rockets?

Some genius hacked the game. He made himself a Soldier, and could shoot those rockets, except every second he shot eight of them, and had unlimited amount, no reloads.

Every second, you heard around four rockets detonate, and that moron getting two kills.
