Well, yeah I imagine so. I guess the music I like AND the music I hate defines me.
Mostly it's upbeat, happy, carefree, that sort of thing. Sometimes a slower softer melody.
Stuff I hate includes rap, grunge, angry music, dubstep and techno, that sort of thing.
By the way, how many people actually listen to the clips that people put up? I only ever listen to one or two, and usually I skim them.

I've been listening to nothing but the Soundtrack to Bastion for the past 2 weeks.

This is probably my favorite track.

But this is a close second

Not sure what that says about me. Make of that what you will.

I don't really see my personality in the music I listen to, but these are my fav artists:
Metallica, Jay-Z, Kanye West, Weezer, Flyleaf, Eminem, Dr Dre, Gaslight Anthem, Raymond Wong, Social Distortion, The Streets, AC/DC, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Rage Against the Machine, Korn, Disturbed, Bright Eyes and the White Stripes.

Try to determine my personality out of that!

I listen to a lot of thrash metal and Swedish trallpunk. Also got lots of love for heavy metal.
Guess it reflects my personality. I'm pretty cynic... But I think it's rather the music that has changed me than that I would've started listening to this because of how I felt.

I listen to mostly hip hop and some post rock every now and again when I want to relax.
I used to listen to heavy metal and rock but I eventually found that music very boring and a restrictive form of expression until I started listening to hip hop when I was 16(I know how cliche that sounds just my oppinion).
Now thats all I really listen to, I could probably say it had a big influence on me when I was younger, since most mainstream rappers really hype up the "bling bling" lifestyle with expenive jewellery and clothes.
Right now, I've got a tonne of hip hop mostly listening to the new Bad Meets Evil EP that em and Royce released.
I'm not biast torwards what I listen to, I can admit, some rap is absolute shit, alot of beats sound the same with a slightly higher pitch. Alot of rappers just all sound the same and exaggerate their skill and fame. While on the other hand some beats are street anthems for a reason, songs you listen over and over again so then you can rap the entire verse.
Most of my friends hate Hip hop so when ever I'm out with them, I never get to play music I like, some people just want to hate.

A lot of the music I listen to reflects me, here's some of my examples:

Those at least come to mind right now, yeah one of those is Owl City, yes I'm a totally overtly emotional wuss. Although, I don't really show many emotions, a lot of the punk stuff I listen to is how I come off to other people...

Does the music you listen to reflect who you are?

Example: I listen to bands like Slayer, Heaven Shall Burn, Nevermore, Slipknot and Deadlock

If you pictured me based on this info alone, I can probably say I'd be the opposite of what you think I am... I'm actually a very friendly guy who usually wears all white and has an optimistic view on life...

"Disasterpiece" by Slipknot is my absolute favourite song...

...I guess that in the deeper recesses of my mind I'm darker than I show to the outside...
Interesting point, those bands do paint quite a bleak and shallow picture.

I myself, relatively conservative compared to say, hippies, when questioned some years ago on the band 'Green Day' (I believe), about how they were anti-government, my only recourse was to say 'I like the music, not the lyrics' and I suppose ultimately not the people, though it is a bit strange I'll admit.

I just listen to whatever sounds good to me. No specific genre, just stuff. Filter, Eels, Robot, Nine Inch Nails, Earth Wind and Fire, Grand Funk Railroad, Pluton Svea, Skinny Puppy, Suicidal Tendencies... Yep. Just stuff. No specific genre. I don't know how that is supposed to reflect me, so it doesn't.

Yep.

I listen to Michael Jackson, Elvis, Johnny Cash, Metallica, AC/DC, Dethklok, Stan Bush, 8/16-bit gaming tunes, 80's pop, and some jazz. Pretty much everything besides (c)rap and modern country.
You can't really picture someone that listens to that variety very well can you?

I listen to stuff like Attack Attack!, Bring Me the Horizon, Pierce the Veil, We Came As Romans etc etc. Based off that info alone people would think I have long black straightened hair that's in my face, and wear jeans that are way too tight. I wear jeans that fit and have short blonde hair.

While I don't like any particular genre I only listen to music that keeps a good beat and doesn't go stale so classical, rock, alternative, the whole lot as long as I deem it good music of its genre, there is no one artist who I have enjoyed more than half his/her songs.

I love classical music
I sincerely doubt you "love classical". You probably don't even know the first thing about classical. I am more than willing to bet that you could not identify the source of that arrangement of Beethoven's melody without wikipedia, nor could you identify your favorite interpretation of that piece. If you could, then color me not really impressed, but judging by the particular video you posted, I doubt you would know the first thing about the genre you claim to love.

Feh.
I doubt snobby music nerds even love music, I mean the music teacher pet types.

I listen to a lot of genres, including alternative, nerdcore, punk, J-Rock/Pop, and American pop.

I don't know what it says about me other than I like music a lot? *shrug* There are very few genres I really dislike (I don't enjoy techno because it gives me a headache).

bipolar? :p

I listen to a little of everything but I have a massive boner for electronic music. Daft punk, benny benassi, bag raiders, pendulum, prodigy and im rather fond of la roux(her songs are made to be remixed). Im also enjoying some of the stuff thats at the top of the charts these days, this poppy electronic stuff, but im sure that will go out of fashion soon anyways. Not much for rock, though i like to pick and choose a song here and there, same with rap.
