Yes, I know many people on the Escapist hate Modern Warfare 2 and complains that it is very unbalanced etc.
But this thread is for the people who actually play MW2, regardless if it is a second job or just for fun.
Others struggle to find the right setup, that's why I've made this thread, so people can see others setups and try them out for themselves and maybe get to have som fun with those setups.

Most people that have played the game have found and used the Create-a-Class tool to customise their classes to their absolute preferences. And then I've got a question for all you MW2'ers out there:
[HEADING=2]What is your favourite weapon setup in MW2?[/HEADING]

I've got three favourites, one for small maps and maps with confined spaces (Examples; Rust, Skid Row), one for maps like Afghan and Sub Base and one for big maps like Derail and Wasteland. I mostly play Hardcore Team Deathmatch. That being said, here they are:

Primary Weapon: M21 EBR without camos or attachments
Secondary Weapon: M93 Raffica Silenced or G18 Akimbo
Equipment: Claymore
Special Grenades: Stun Grenades x2
Perk 1: Scavenger Pro
Perk 2: Stopping Power Pro
Perk 3: Steady Aim Pro
Deathstreak: Painkiller

Primary Weapon: MP5K Silenced, Urban Camo
Secondary Weapon: Desert Eagle FMJ
Equipment: Throwing Knife
Special Grenades: Stun Grenades x2
Perk 1: Scavenger Pro
Perk 2: Stopping Power Pro
Perk 3: Ninja Pro
Deathstreak: Painkiller

Primary Weapon: SCAR-H, No attachment, No camo
Secondary Weapon: SPAS 12, Foregrip
Equipment: Semtex Grenade
Special Grenades: Stun Grenades x2
Perk 1: Sleight of Hand Pro/Scavenger Pro (Because of the SCAR-H's tiny clip size)
Perk 2: Stopping Power Pro
Perk 3: Ninja Pro
Deathstreak: Painkiller

Currently using class that can be summed up as "I've prestiged enough. Lets use them weapons."

So that means an AK47 and a 1887 Model.
I don't quite like the 1887, I feel that it's range is a little too short.
Fun fact, the SPAS's range increases greatly when using the foregrip, and that's why I use it, it's a goddamn SNIPER!
And the AK, it's pronounced Aaaaaaah-K47 because it's so awesomely good, just 4 more levels now. :D

Another one of these? Ah well, "no attachment" is a bit silly. Take FMJ at least, it offers zero disadvantages and you can work your way up to Extended Mags.
I use it occasionally, but I feel that it's more awesome to go pwning without any attachments on it xD

Talking of shotguns me and a friend often challenge each other to "Who can kill the most people" using the same class.

We did it with under-barrel shotguns.

It was so funny.
Oooh, those ones are fun, I got it on my SCAR-H when I still was at a very low level before any prestige.

Have you ever tried this on Skid Row?
Riot Shield
Spas 12 Foregrip
Throwing Knife
Sleight of Hand Pro (for the shotgun)
Lightweight Pro
Commando Pro

I got an 8 kill streak with A RIOT SHIELD! :D

I really only use 2 loadouts.

Intervention w/ FMJ
Magnum w/ FMJ
Semtex / Stun
Sleight of Hand Pro
Stopping Power Pro
Ninja Pro

UMP.45 w/ Silencer
USP.45 w/ Silencer
Semtex / Stun
Sleight of Hand Pro
Stopping Power Pro
Ninja Pro

Occasionally I'll use a Tar-21 with Silencer and Scav Claymores, but that's rare. I use the first class 80% of the time. I play CoD4 a hell of a lot more than Modern Shitfare 2 these days.

F2000 extended mags Fall Camo
Desert eagle FMJ
Throwing knife
Scavenger
Stopping power
Commando
Copycat*

FAL with master key(shotgun attachment) No Camo
Javelin
Throwing Knife
Scavenger
Cold blooded
Sit rep
Copycat(see above)

RPD Thermal Scope/Grip No Camo
AT4
C4
Bling
Stopping Power
Steady Aim
Copycat*

M21 EBR ACOG(I use it as an assault rifle)(sometimes ACOG and silencer. So switch Scaveger with Bling) No Camo
Desert Eagle FMJ
Throwing Knife
Scavenger
Stopping Power
Sit Rep
Copycat*

Riot Shield
Desert Eagle/ Tactical Knife
Blast Shield
Marathon
Leightweight(sometimes Hardline)
Commando
Final Stand
^ (This class is perfect for using the shield properly as a defensive tool with a team mate behind me or for blocking a door, but can also kill if needed.)

All loadouts use Stun Grenades.

All perks are pro. I have fall camo for nearly every weapon but I like how most of them look plain.

*[small]I find painkiller(and all death streaks really) to be cheap. When a LMG can't take you down in 3-6 hits because of painkiller, there's something wrong. So, I opt for copycat, but never use it.[/small]

Actually, thats not true. No attachment affects the Spas. Even FMJ doesn't do anything to it.

OT: I am burnt out on CoD and my disk is scratched so I don't play it anymore, but I was recently using the AK47 with FMJ and whatever pistol I was feeling at the time.

But, I am to meh with the game and a little confuzzled at whatever happened to the plan to patch noobtubing. You told us that they were going to fix it 3 months ago

I'd like to get through just one match without having to see 4 out of 6 people on the other team using these exact loadouts. It makes the game so boring having to see the same thing all the time.

Blame Infinity Ward for not having a multiplayer beta and releasing an imbalanced game. Then blame them for not patching said imbalanced game. Not my fault that those 3 perks are by far the best, and not my fault the UMP is really overpowered.

I'm not blaming you for the gun being overpowered. I'm blaming you for using it because it's overpowered. Every flaw in a game doesn't need to be exploited to the point of ruining the game.(By "You" I don't mean just you. I mean everyone that uses it for that reason)

It's entirely possible to kill with every other weapon. I'm just bored with seeing the same few over and over. If people would stop going for the easy kill and use something they actually find to be fun, the game would be completely different.

But no. People are too scared to use something that's fun. After all, if they don't all use the obviously overpowered crap, they might add a loss to that w/l record that means absolutely nothing. We wouldn't want that, would we?

I've boiled it down to only sniping, so here are the 2 of them that I primarily use:
Class 1:
Intervention FMJ
Desert Eagle FMJ

Sleight of Hand Pro
Stopping Power Pro
Ninja Pro

Class 2:
Barret .50 Cal silenced+FMJ
USP .45 Akimbo+Silenced

Bling Pro
Cold-Blooded Pro
Ninja Pro

If I'm playing gamebattles, and my team is losing, I might go to my Marathon + Lightweight + Ninja silenced UMP class.
