I believe my family came over with the Norman conquest of england, so I guess my descent is Norman, but after that there would have been a lot of breeding with the british.

Who knows though, I don't have a well mapped out family tree.

Finnish for the past two centuries, with strong Swedish roots back to around 15 century. Before that, my ancestry supposedly goes to around mainland Europe, northern Germany/southern Danmark more specifically.

I do hear that quite possibly a Viking ruler can be found from our family tree somewhere, but that might just be wishful thinking on my family's part.

Well the dutch didn't directly exterminate them the foreign animals they brough over fought with them for food, stopped them laying eggs and pushed them to a smaller island where the last that remained died.
