Yes, I couldn't be happier!
Simply, couldn't be happier!
Well...not simply.
Though it is I admit, the tiniest bit
unlike I anticipated...
There's a kind of a sort of...cost.
There's a couple of things get...lost.
There are bridges you cross you didn't know
you crossed until you cross!
And if that joy, that thrill
doesn't thrill like you think it will
Still...
With this perfect finale
the cheers and the bally-hoo!
Who wouldn't be happier?
So...I couldn't be happier...
Because happy is what happens
when all your dreams come true...
Well...isn't it?
Happy is what happens
when your dreams come true!
Oh wow, I love this musical! Such a good song for this thread.

For me, the whole point of life is to be happy. I do my best not to be sad.

The only necesity for happyness, is being satisfied with what you have, possibly might have in the future and never will have.

Personally, I find just not caring as much as I used to helps a LOT aswell. I just "go with the flow" now, take everything day by day, pretty much stopped worrying about the future in general (Even though I probably have more than enough I should be worried about xD).
I know it sounds pretentious, but its really not as hard as it sounds. ;)

Oh and Tom Waits always helps aswell:

Happiness is the first sip of an ice cold beer after a long day. Nothing will ever beat that feeling.
I call your bet and raise you with: the first kiss from a girl you love!

"Nobody cares if you're sad" works for me.
nobody cares if you're sad? what kind of nonsense is that? of course people care if you're sad. or at least they should, if they care about you. and if they don't, I don't think you know happiness. unless not being loved makes you happy i suppose...

Well, if that works for you, you must be a real sad person.

I actually meant that, since nobody cares for sadness, you must pursue happiness.
Also, the question can now be stated: why do YOU suppose to give sad things to others? And why keeping sadness away is nonsense?

Just thinking about it.

that's not what you said before. you mean nobody LIKES sadness, so it's better to be happy.
I don't understand your first question, but to the second: i meant that it's nonsense that nobody cares if you're sad. of course they do, they'll try to cheer you up. keeping sadness away isn't nonsense at all.

It is the stance I take against sadness (i.e. what assumption I take), of which I did say that "it works for me". I kinda emphasized that keeping it to yourself is mostly a good reason to keep on going happy. But I wanted to screw around with some people, so posted a short sentence that is subject to a lot of interpretation. :p
