most F2P MMO's are avarege/weak compared to P2P MMO's (WoW, Guild Wars(< my favorite mmo btw), Age of Conan), but there are actually some good ones out there; Dungeons and Dragons online, Atlantica online and Runescape are some of them ;)
Point of contention, Guild Wars is free to play. If it was really your favorite, you'd know that.
o really? - so i don't have to pay anything to play the game? - i can just download it and make a free account? :)
Absolutely. Of course, you do have to buy the game from the store, after that though, you have no further recurring fees. However, if you intend to contest that point as not being a truely free game, then you cannot necessarily point to D&D:O either.

However, Guild Wars is pretty great. Excited for GW2.
How was guildwars good? I didn't like any of it. Between the lag and the overworld being empty I found it either lack luster or just boring.

Try stuff by Nexon. It's a South Korean based company that makes MMOs with micro-payments, and they have quite a few different things: Maple Story, their most popular and easiest, Mobinogy, (or something like that) which is like a 3D Runescape, minus the suck, Dungeon Fighter Online, an arcade style beat 'um up, but in MMO form, a few little games that a basically flash games, and Combat Arms, which is kind of like Counter Strike, but with some slight differences. The micro-payments are mostly cosmetic stuff (such as a different look for your avatar or weapon), and it's completely free and full, even if you never spend a cent on them. It doesn't shove it in your face either, which is nice.

There are 2 types of MMO's; Free-to-Play and Pay-to-Play ... you have to buy Guild Wars in order to play, so it's P2P, you don't have to pay per month, but you still have to pay (once) in order to play.

Dungeons and Dragons online can be played without paying anything, so it's F2P, you can buy optional things in the store, but you don't have to :)

And yeah; GW2 is gonna be freakin' awesome.

I'm enjoying playing around in tier 1 with Warhammer online. Endless free play with tier 1 but I liked WAR but my PC broke when I was playing it and didn't have the money to buy a new one till recently.

Oh so what you are saying is those smacktards come from PC gaming. Huh imagine that. Guess Live isn't to blame afterall. It was PCs the whole time.
Not by any means. Some smacktards are born in eggs that need to hatch, and some are born live...Xbox Live! Har Har Har!
Sure but the fact that PC gaming is breeding them in the first place says alot. Guess you can't fight genes.
Well, my point was that they can come from both places. I wouldn't be surprised if a good number of Live smacktards didn't even know you could play real video games on PCs.
You forgot the PS3. Although they are more elusive due to the lack of mics.

I wonder what the Wii's smacktard ratio is like.
0. No one plays the Wii.

OT: I enjoyed... Well, I didn't really enjoy any of the free MMO's I played... Huh.

Well you could buy Guild Wars, but there is no subscription fee. I've never really found any really good F2P MMO games, because most of them are just grind fests. That's just my opinion, because I don't like grinding all that much.

Those that I've tried are often decent enough games, but they aren't up to the level of your standard P2P game. You also really have to watch how the cash store is integrated into the game. F2P games need to make their money somewhere and often do it by putting virtually essential (or at least highly desired) items in the store only. You may quickly reach a point where the game becomes either exceedingly boring/grindy or in some cases even nearly impossible to progress in without opening up your wallet.
