In the new organization, Drox would be associated with Nobody enemies rather than Heartless or Nightmares, and would be one of Xemnas's subordinates, rather than answering directly to AnsemSoD or Young or Old Xehanort. He would have a friend/rival/counterpart among AnsomSoD's humanform-heartless wing of the organization who focused on Hearts instead of Bodies, possibly his own Heartless. The two of them could both be thought of as necromancers - Drox of the Frankenstien/Herbert West variety with Nobody 'zombies', his rival focusing more on energies and spirits, with Heartless 'ghost' minions.
Initial battles against Drox would be narratively frustrating scenes where the protagonist is stuck fighting armies of minor nobodies with Drox visible but unreachable in the distance or high above. During the battle Drox would periodically target the protagonist and their allies with poison darts, or fire healing injections into damaged but not killed enemies. The last minor nobody would be hit with a mutation serum turning it into a proper boss with a boney/corpse-like undead visual motif. As the game progressed, Drox would be a recurring boss theme, where a nobody boss's initial form would be defeated only for Drox to appear and inject it with a serum that changes it into a more powerful form.
A later battle would see the protagonist's party finding themselves stuck in the middle of a fight between Body>Heart Droxicker and his Heart>Body rival, resulting in a three way fight between the protagonists and the two organization members' enhanced minions.
When the protagonist finally fights Drox for real in the Organization's stronghold, the battle would initially be as in the initial scenario, but with multiple nobodies being turned into early game nobody bosses at a time and fought simultaneously. During that fight, Drox's perch would be broken, dropping him into the battle and making him finally attackable. He would operate as a human form org member boss with frequent minor nobody spawns, where the boss moves quickly and attempts to keep his distance, dual wielding syringe pistols and firing at both the protagonist (with damage/debuff) and the nobody spawns (with healing/buff), possibly creating more early game bosses. As his health gets lower, he gets more desperate, moving into close range in an attempt to grab protagonist team members and thim with the backpack mounted claws, saws, scalpels, and poison/debuff needles. The worst of these debuffs would only work on npc allies, and would temporarily turn them against the protagonist. Drox would have to be attacked from behind to break his backpack apparatus before defeating him, otherwise the backpack would heal him an energy bar whenever the last one was depleted. Once the backpack is broken, he'd go back to dodging around and shooting pistols. When finally defeated, he would take out his largest syringe yet, inject himself with it, and turn into a great terrible monster as if to drag the fight out even longer... only for the transformation to push his injured body too far, causing him to messily explode.
When the protagonist later confronts Drox's Heartless rival/counterpart, they would say something sad about it before the fight. If, on the other hand, the heartless rival had been defeated first, then before Drox's fight he would express sadness at the death of his 'friend', and then anger at the Protagonist's actions sullying him with emotions.
