Your overrated and underrated games?

Underrated: Donkey Kong 64. It's my personal favorite platformer. No one ever talks about it anymore, and it still hasn't had a DLC release over the Wii, Xbox, or PS3. Probably won't ever, either.

Overrated: Assassin's Creed. A lot of people seem to forgive the extreme repetition. I do not. It's basically a 3 hour game that's been copy and pasted with slight variations to add extra length. The voice acting was atrocious, and the story didn't really bring me in at all. The second game was great, though.

Overrated: Final Fantasy 7
Underrated: the 2008 Prince of Persia

I don't think the 2008 Prince of Persia was under rated, it didn't get good reviews but to me it got exactly what it deserved
one of the few games that I agreed with the reviews for

It got excellent reviews but nobody bought it and it's apparently one of those "worst games ever" in the eyes of the community.

Over-rated: LBP, Timesplitters, and Shadow of the Colossus.

Under-rated: Second Sight, Mech-Assualt, and killer7.

Overrated: Dragon Age Origins. Shit game, simple as.
Underrated: MW2. And Infinity Ward. They get more hate than praise now by far.
OT Underrated: Aliens vs Predator. Multiplayer's sometimes shit, but when it gets it right it really does, and is the scariest, tense-ist multiplayer I've ever played and I bet I will ever play.

Overrated: As mentioned many times before, Modern Warfare 2. Contrary to the beliefs of many people around me, it isn't the Second Coming and felt tacked on. Then again, I'm just not a fan of FPS games.

Underrated: Jade Empire, actually.

-FF (All of them)
-Starcraft (Good but there are better)

Underrated:
-007-Nightfire (One of the few FPS games that I loved)
-C&C (Well.... most of them)
-Armored Core

I got it used for $19 and thought it was good for the price
anyone who payed full price for it has the right to be pissed off at it
it'll be hard to ever beat Sands of Time. they should stop trying

Overrated: Portal,halflife most valve and bioware games really.

Underrated: metro, FF13,Diablo.

Over-rated: HALF LIFE 2. Just so boring in almost every way for me.

Under-rated: Condemned: Criminal Origins/ Baten Kaitos

I like to think that I enjoy all kinds of games.

Overrated: Final Fantasy (especially XX and XIII), Halo, Uncharted (it's OK), Kingdom Hearts
Underrated: Eternal Darkness (Weird as hell but awesome), Ico, COD: WaW (maybe I'm wrong about this one but I think it was great and it didn't get a lot of recognition for it's solid points)

I think for overrated I'd be tempted to put Valve down, but that's really just because of the fanboys, I don't mind the games too much. And Morrowind, but really only on here, and because of the arguments for it. Why mod Morrowind to add what I like from Oblivion when I could mod in what I like from Morrowind into Oblivion?

Fallout3-Ok we know you can make a big world so how bout sign posts or a map or for that matter a dam person within oh say 25 feet of were you start to tell you were the fuck you are.

CODMW1&2-good game but seriously not any better then halo odst.

Raceing games-ok if i want to race cars ill go down to the speedway and do it my self some how i think ill get more out of it.(ALL THE HOT PURSUIT GAMES ARE EXCLUDED)

underrated:
Blue Dragon-best turn based rpg of this generation enoth said.

Too Human-yeah i know the dam controls are a ***** to master but once you get them down its a pretty fun game. even with the rediculously long death sequinces.

prototype-i refer you to its Zero Putuation reveiw as to why i like it.

Phantom Crash-fucking great mech combat game. The mechs were easy to control and the game had a kick ass sound track with a few realy bad songs that just made you laugh.

Another 'realistic' multiplayer shooter... I can barely contain my excitement.

Underrated: Skies of Arcadia: Legends
I realize that there are plenty of people who love this game, but it would have been nice to see it do well financially so as to encourage more games like it.
