My passion is helping people who are depressed. Ya know, the whole movie line: "Believe in them when they dont believe in themselves"? That sort of thing.

Compound bows hold all of the weight of the draw for you, so all you need to do is aim and shoot, recurves not only make you hold all of the weight, their also designs to have a heavier draw, so it's harder to get bullseyes consistantly.

Recurve bows require more practice and discipline because of it's lack of 'holding the weight for you' capabilities, litterally from the time you draw to the time you hit the target should be no more than 5 seconds, if it takes more time than that, your eyes begin to defocus and you have to draw again(because your body is focusing on holding a lot of weight)

Meanwhile, you can hold a compound bow and aim forever without defocusing(compound bows are allowed to have telescopic sights in competition, as well as you aren't holding a bunch of draw weight) so you need less discipline and practice.

I shoot around 210-230 on a good day with my recurve, and with a RENTED(you shoot better with your own gear, obviously) compound bow I can shoot a perfect 300 easily

Though bear in mind that compound bows are largley hunting bows, so they need to be easier to use and WAYYYY more accurate for guaranteed kill shots.

Where recurve bows are competition bows so they would naturally require more skill to use.

RECAP: compound bows are easier because they are hunting bows, recurve bows are more difficult to use accuratley because they are used for competition.

the pole thing at the front is a stabilizer and 'V wings' which make it easier to aim and keep consistency

that sight is actually a telescopic sight, so easier aiming, those wheels are called 'cams' those are what hold the weight, you're also allowed a stablizer and v wings on compounds too
[/quote]

Oh wow, thanks. No sarcasm.

And what ever happened to the good old wood and string bows? I still believe that people used yew and such to make bows. Hundreds of years ago they seemed pretty pro with just the wooden ones, mostly better than any of us trying to use one now.

They're all too flashy.. kinda makes it seems like it's too easy to do. Whereas if you've got no add ons.. :D

What is your greatest passion? Can be anything, like passion for video games, writing, food, etc. Try to make serious responses. You can have a little joke, as long as you post the serious answer after.

Mine is playing music. I've played guitar for 2 years, have just started playing violin, and am willing to learn how to sing (I normally sing when I'm alone, and I think it's great fun). I realized how much I loved it around half a year ago, through my idol and source for inspiration, John 5 [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jps8fdhAHko]. I've always thought of becoming a musician, but I've always been unsure, but this man shows that it's possible with hard work and determination. It's my dream to be a professional musician, and to play on stage. Greatest thrill I know.
Destroying others passion is my passion. PS: I just blew up every music store in every country on every planet.
Nope. While you weren't looking I took the bombs and planted them under your house, all your friends houses, their cars and your car.

But on a serious note, do I care about your humourless attempt to insult me?
(Nope)

BTW You see what I did there? I took your humourless, cliche joke and turned it on itself.

But it is amusing to see you care enough to attempt to insult me. I didn't know you cared that much.
It wasn't really an insult so much as it was a stab of annoyance.
Of course I care: I'm sick of people asking me stupid questions because they can't take the effort to think "Maybe that's not a serious statement."

You insulted my intelligence first.
Or you were making a pun, in which case your actions are unforgivable for a whole host of reasons, starting with "Puns suck" and ending with "the people who hear them into the depths of despair and hatred."
If it wasn't serious and it's certainly not funny, why even post it? That's just stupid and you know it.

I insulted your intelligence first? OK, stay in your imaginary world. Say whatever you like if it makes you feel better. I really don't care.

And I'm going to be the mature one, as usual, and not get into this idiotic conversation with you.

Now to carry on with things which I care about.

Become a fat git, about 20 stone should do, learn to shred on guitar, create a dog/goat/car tyre hybrid, trip on acid at least 5 times a day, find a cure for cancer, lose the weight, gain super powers, become immune to radiation and kryptonite, kill the worlds tyrants, knockout Muhammed Ali... either that or just became a cracking bass player.

Hey, I like people. They're fun to talk to, listen to, observe, even contact on internet forums

Does that count as a passion?
