This is a poignant question. When I was in third year I believe I had a lab proposal due on a Saturday midnight. I'd spent a good week working on it and had gotten the damn thing done. I was playing some KOTOR 2 before giving the proposal a final check and then e-mailing it in. As I'm playing the HD begins to make weird noises. Concerned, I power down the computer and when I boot it back up it can't find the OS. Getting somewhat more concerned, I open up the case and take a look. The HD's discs have cracked. FUCK! 4 pm on a Saturday, I get out of the house at just under the speed of light jump on a bus downtown and spend the next hour running around trying to locate a store that can sell me a compatible HD. Finally get one and dash back home. Install everything again, since my network card doesn't work yet, I break into one of my roommates' room and proceed to download the drivers and copy them onto their flash drive so I can install it. 7pm now, bang off the proposal which had taken me most a week to write in about three hours and hand that ***** in. VICTORY DANCE!
