Oh, and welcome to the Escapist. Enjoy your stay here and please ignore the body under the stairs and the troll outside. Have fun!
I thought Max ate that body...
He gets a new one every full moon.

My perfect game is called the search button...
I am so sick of those idiotic jokes.
Coming from the person that made the second shortest review I have seen on this site...I couldn't care less...

If people used the search button the forums wouldn't be packed with the same topics week in week out...
Ha. Your judging me from the size of a review? Now that's just plain idiocy.

And if people stopped making childish jokes about the search bar, maybe people would actually listen.

Not really; the quality of your posts speak volumes about your ability to communicate on a forum; the only thing I have to go in is your awful Transformers review and so I currently see you as a unintelligent poster. The only people that complain about being told to use the search bar are those bitter that they themselves got told to or the OP of a thread - from what I have seen.

Especially a thread like this, that has been posted many many times, I wouldn't be bothered if the OP was well written. but it's not.

Thanks everyone for welcoming me and sorry because its not a new idea, ill be more careful next time when posting :)

And for anyone interested my perfect game would be a mix between Gta and Fallout 3.
I found both games to be fun and if they could mix their quirkiness i think there would a very fun game.. and thats what games should be; fun.

Simply because I speak briefly on some threads doesn't tell you about my ability to communicate.

You saying my review is "awful" is your opinion obviously. And most likely the reason you dislike it is because of it's length. Plus if you thinks that's bad, I've seen reviews which cannot be called reviews, just rants.

I myself have never been told to use the search bar. And I'm tired of your and other people's humourless jokes about it. Try informing people nicely about it, instead of being annoying to people. Because when the authors of the thread read your "jokes", they're almost guaranteed to be annoyed and will continue not using the search bar anyway. Basically your making it worse.

Stop it, you're both a mile off-topic and deserving of being reported for it given that all you're doing is flaming each other.

For my own perfect game, I think a present-day set Total War game with the battles playable in a manner similar to Battlefield 2. Hell, I'd happily take a WW2 one using BF1942 for the battle system.

Although what I actually want is System Shock 3 because I'm still quite bitter about BioShock.

Saints row 2 with the powers from the darkness. "Prototype should be your favourite game" i hear you say. Wrong.

Thank you for getting us back on track JemJar :)

I think that the total war games are better left in the ancient periods because if there was one set in today it would just start and end in nuclear warfare. But thats just me.

P.S sorry about the quoting, its just being annoying atm.

My perfect game was stated in another thread. A few other threads too.
Open world, blah blah blah, dark, bloody, gory, Gothic, stealth, giant battles.

Overlord 1 meets Gremlins.
Yes.
Basically Overlord in a modern setting.
Sadly when your minions go into water they die, not multiply exponetionally. Although I think a bigger longer more sinister Overlord game would be quite good.

If you could create one game in your life what would it be like?
Would it be a Grand Theft Auto type where you go around getting chased by police?
Mercenaries 2 where you blow everything up?
Or even something like Little Big Planet where you create a masterpiece?
As my hobby, I'm actually working on creating a game that may take me my whole life. It is called:

Universe

I began work on it in 1989.

This beats Duke Nukem Forever which was begun in 1997.

The game is so large that I have spent the bulk of my time preparing to be in a position to program it.

I have as of this moment, designed an Integrated Development Environment, a Graphical User Interface, a Middleware Operating System Layer and an entirely new programming language in which all of this software will be written. So, that is the fruits of 20 years of sporadic off and on work in my spare time.

The game is kind of like Elite: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elite_(video_game)

Mixed with Damocles: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Damocles_(computer_game)

Carrier Command: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carrier_Command

Battle Engine Aquila: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_Engine_Aquila

Planetside: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PlanetSide

and Crysis: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crysis

(whilst having rubbish graphics)

I would like it to be a MMORTSFPSRPG (massively-multiplayer real-time strategy first-person shooter role-playing game), but as I currently know next to nothing about networks - and only have one computer on which to test it - I will just have to make it an RTSFPSRPG at first.

If I ever finish and if anyone shows any interest in the game I may make the tools I used to make it available for open source extension by its community. The plan is for it to be freeware.

It is worth mentioning that there are other things out there broadly like it such as Infinity: The Quest for Earth:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Infinity:_The_Quest_for_Earth

http://www.moddb.com/games/infinity-the-quest-for-earth

This project is coming on leaps and bounds, because it has a lot of its models made for it by its community:

http://www.infinity-universe.com/Infinity/index.php?option=com_content&task=blogcategory&id=26&Itemid=67

However, as I have already said my game is going to have rubbish graphics (think Damocles) as I would rather spend my time making really deep gameplay - like, being an alien mercenary who comes to land his spacecraft on a backward planet and sells his skills to the various sides of a Global conflict that has a historic and diplomatic background, loses his "special" equipment and is forced to fight with the technology of that planet (or may simply not want to draw that much attention to herself). That kind of thing.

Plenty of action, less of the boring mining and trading.

think gears of war in first person kinda thing, but with less whining main characters to care about so there's more room for gunfights, and possibly close combat... yeeesss >.> visceral and colourful close combat
