So whats you personal favourite DnD char? Can be your own or someone elses, though it should be for the tabletop (3ed to 3.5). Between level 1 to 20, epic is just broken. And why they are your favourite. Personally it was a Warlock called Krom. Warlock/Generic caster gestalt. Partially because its fun being evil, partially because i caused over 2 billion gp damage to a floating city by accidentally zapping the damaged power crystals. I got so murdered. Luckily the illithids stole his soul!...wait. Thats not lucky. Anyway. Your turn.

Why exclude the 1e and 2e?

Anyways, I've had plenty of characters throughout the years, and plenty of favorites.

My human psionic (2e), Rile Deathstrider, who could change shape and generally be a total pain to the whole party, ha ha.

Dahosh Luarm, Human Paladin (2e), a warden to different lords, eventually becoming the warden to another PCs Keep while he was away. +5 Holy Avenger for the win.

As for canon characters (ones I didn't create), I'd have to say...

Alias of Westgate, a fighter with a strange azure mark on her arm and no memory of her past. Part of the Forgotten Realms series, the Azure Bonds.

Dragonbait, the Saurial Paladin and trusted ally of Alias. He never speaks (his species physically can't speak Common) and is sworn to protect Alias with his life.

Why exclude 4e? People on here play that right? I do anyway cause I'm a noob at it.

I've got this mindflayer shaman that I made. He's an atheist cause it's hilarious to act out an atheist shaman.

I played a lovely cleric called Anesestra (Ana). She was the grumpiest thing imaginable (not helped by the fact that she was played by an atheist, AKA me, where our DM insisted that I do an elaborate prayer before healing anyone) and hated the rest of the party constantly forcing her to heal them. Funnily enough, the first few battles we got into, I constantly rolled extremely low numbers for healing spells, so my character's hatred of doing her job carried through the game.

My favorite would have to be Salein my human mage. Created in 2e, updated for 3.5e, and recently 4e. He was the old style of Chaotic Neutral (basically... crazy) and remained so even after the changes to the alignment system.

This led to him charging in bashing people with a staff instead of using spells, saying random off-beat stuff in the middle of intense moments, and generally being a great character to play. To this day he is still the only member of any group to never get knocked out in a barfight. (Our minotaur warrior always got knocked out by kidney punches...)

I exclude 4ed because i hate it like a hive of bees hates being hit by a stone. I have no good reason to exclude 1 and 2ed. Though no ones actually stopping you. The courtesy shown is nice though.

Niek Stillblade, Lawful Good Kobold Knight. Raised by halflings and pretends to be one, never removing his armor in the presence of others. Dedicated pacifist who will patiently stand there while the barbarian wails on him waiting for the rage to wear off so they'll listen to reason. Hit points and armor class out the wazoo. Appears to be cursed, as every campaign I've tried to run him in randomly dies due to outside circumstances within 3 sessions...

To a lesser extent, Gilt Cipher, an NPC rogue in a campaign I ran who was still giving the party trouble at level 14, despite only being level 8 himself.

I have quite a few favorites, it's hard to pick just one;

Mallokai, a Lawful Good Hound Archon.

Kieran, a Half-Elf Chaotic Good Scout.

Kron, a Kobold Lawful Evil Archivist

It's one of the NPCs I write for in my group. His name is Laroyss Barri?und.

He's a Drow Paladin/Gray Guard. I love him because he is so over the top and violent when dealing with the forces of evil and chaos.
