Some of the Total War games have taken 2 to 3 hundred hours of my life, but the game I feel I've placed the most is the crappy old FPS, Vietcong. That was my thinking game. Turn on the quick fight mode and enter a kind of meditative state whilst my comrades scream racist remarks at Vietnamese rice farmers.

Either Football Manager (definitely all iterations combined, and probably in the various iterations as well) or Baldur's Gate 1 and 2.

Although I played FIFA: Road to World Cup '98 almost exclusively for an entire year, so that game also scores highly.

Heroes of Newerth, hands down. I've been playing it nearly every day since it's closed beta back in 2009 to now. How many hours is that? I have no idea, but it's massive.

I'm relatively certain that it's oblivion. I've wracked up over 1000 hours on that game and loved every moment of it. Thank goodness for mods!

I don't know my WoW hours, but I presume a "few" hours went into it since I played the game for 6 years. And Team Fortress 2 on a second place with 2362 hours.

Probably WoW, because it was a time vampire. Non-MMO would be DOTA 2. Non-multiplayer would probably be Final Fantasy VII or Dragon Age: Origins. Played through both of them on many, many occasions.

Well I've seen plenty of Baldurs Gate, and I am no exception. :)

But the ONE game, that have the no.1 re-play value and gods now how many hours I've sunken into it must be...

[HEADING=1]Parasite EVE[/HEADING]

It might not be the most critically claimed game in history, but for some reason the story keeps pulling me back in. It spawned to sequels, but none of them lived up to the original.

Other than that Fallout; tactics, Fallout 3 and Fallout; New Vegas as drained more than +2000 hours combined. <.<

Definitely Zelda Ocarina of Time - As a 10-11 year old, I was either at footy practice, or playing zelda. I was freaking obsessed, its probably the reason I ended up having video games as a hobby. I'd have done 25 odd playthroughs I reckon, timewise though no idea.

Runescape. I've played it since RS2. Very often. probably around 700 days.

Quit last year, though. The game has gone to utter shit.

City of Heroes, by far. Out of all the MMOs and online games out there COH was like the Cheers bar: You could always go back to Paragon City and everyone knew your name. There was always some nifty new powerset, content, or character concept to try out and the game was mostly fresh up until about last year when I started playing it less and less, until NC Soft pulled the plug.

*sniff* Going to miss that one...

Well when I was a kid with nothing but a Sega Genesis and a computer with old Atari games, I played a ton of Centipede and Sonic 2. When I got a Playstation, Tekken 3 soaked up probably hundreds of hours with my friends. Ever since the PS2 era I've had too many games to spend quite so much time on a single one. I have replayed Borderlands about 25 times, so that's my most played modern game.

But I don't think anything will ever match the amount of time I spent playing Heretic in the mid and late '90s. Good lord, I loved that game. I probably played every one of the 45 levels in that game at least 40 or 50 times, and got so good that the ridiculously hard difficulty became only a minor challenge. Damn, I still love Heretic, and would play it all the time if I had any machine I could run it on :(

Probably either WoW or pokemon sapphire.
WoW is meant to be a time sink so I think that is the most likely game, especially since I used it to talk to friends for a while so I spent a lot of time not actually playing.
However I thing the 300 hours I put into pokemon sapphire is still a lot for me.

Skyrim, Oblivion and Rollercoaster Tycoon, no doubt. Pure damn time sinks.

Honerable mentions go to my most re-played games:

Metal Gear Solid PS1
Silent Hill 2
Half Life 2 and Episodes
Most of the Halo games

I spent over 200 hours in Fallout 3

Also I spent at least that in Fallout New Vegas

And I spent 250 hours in Skyrim

And 295 in Mount and Blade warband

The number drops very quickly after those ones

SO yeah one of those

I doubt it's mount and blade though as I used NVSE and FOSE both of which didn't use to allow for it to connect to steam preventing the time from being logged.

If we lump them all together, probably the 3 Rock Bands. Though Iv'e also sunk endless hours into Heroes of Might & Magic 3 in earlier days. Super smash Bros and Perfect Dark got some insane rotation back on my N64 too (SNES I had a much wider set of games of quality).
