Well, it's that awesome time gain. Another AC was recently announced. Turns out we will be playing as Ezio again... however, we will also play as Altair and Desmond.

The is still based in Italy from what I know but this time around we get to apparently visit Turkey and other areas we haven't been before.

There's also been a lot of talk about the different gadgets/weapons. All I have found so far is that we get a zip-line hook. Here's an image:

Anyway, any comments about the game? idea's, suggestions etc?

Bit too soon to be assessing it I'd say, but I'm relatively excited for it. I like AC2 And brotherhood... Even though I felt like Brotherhood was a step down from the Second Game.

Frankly however... I think its time to drop Ezio and Altair, I wanna explore the future mo fo's!!

Fixed your video and your picture.

On topic: I'm mildly interested but don't think this will count as the true Assassin's Creed 4 (or even 3). Remember back how we had Vice City and San Andreas before we got GTA-4? I think that's what's happening with Assassin's Creed. Brotherhood and Revelations will come before the actual Assassin's Creed 3 which will hopefully focus on someone who isn't Desmond and someone who isn't Ezio or Altair.

There's nothing wrong with any of those characters and Revelations looks great so far but what I loved the most about Assassins' Creed 2 was the implications it had for the series as a whole: I thought that each new sequel would take place in a different time period with a different protagonist living in a different part of the world and that excited the hell out of me. What was after Renaissance Italy, I thought? WWI-era Ottoman Empire? 17th Century Spain? Tokugawa Era Japan? The sky was the limit (literally...unless there was a very short mission taking place on the ISS)!

But here we are in 2011 with Brotherhood which I haven't played and don't care too (because I liked the game better as a single player experience in a multiplayer world) and what looks like another Ezio side-story before the real Assassin's Creed 3. At least we get to visit Turkey though!

Yeah, too soon for me too. I don't get the fuss about Ezio, tbh. He pretty cool, but I'd much rather have a new character and a new time setting.

Also, Ezio's OLD! Surely that wuld affect his ability to climb tall buildings and leap off them!

Links are busted, youtube isn't a link, cdn is busted too.
I think the game's primary setting is Constantinople, Turkey this time around. Even if the prior statements about this being the setting were false, the archetecture seen in most of the promos doesn't look Italian, correct me if I'm wrong here.

@Above. Yay! Throwing out back game mechanics! :D

I feel like they are milking the franchise to death, rather than continuing an artistic endeavorer they enjoy.

I've always found the gameplay in all AC to be lacking big time...I don't see this as an exception, but I do think Ubisoft is pulling a CoD with this franchise trying to milk it to the bone...=/

Main setting is Constantinople, not Italy, this time around. Honestly, I've wanted to play as Altair again, with the hope that they give him some more personality. Playing as Ezio again isn't the greatest idea ever though. I was honestly hoping for a new time period/setting and protagonist. Next time, I guess...

Very excited. Its main setting is Constantinople, and we'll also play in Desmond's mind (yeah... don't know too much about that yet), and an underground city. Read a preview in PCG and it sounds great.

This is the last main outing as Altair or Ezio - new ancestors and time periods are reserved for numbered games.

As for Altair, we're apparently going to dip in and out of his 90-year life-span, so should be interesting. I always thought his codex pages were surprisingly touching considering he wasn't an overtly interesting character in the first game.

AC2 I kind of had fun playing. ACB I enjoyed up until I had to recruit and train assassins. I also felt the game went on too long and by the end I was bored and wanted to get it over with. So with ACR I will probably wait or just watch a walk through on youtube.

My opinion is "It's not AC4 obviously they're taking the Resident Evil approach you dumb twat"
This isn't projected towards you, or anyone really, just the whole community that calls things what in my head they shouldn't be. I apologise.

And, yeah, looks good. Can't wait.

They hinted at so many other characters in AC1, but we seem to be stuck in Italy. I would love to play even a level in ancient Peru or in feudal Japan.

I'm pretty interested. I loved the 2nd the Brotherhood, and I can't wait to see how they end Ezio's story. Also, since they were talking about Altair, Ezio and Desmond finally meeting together face to face would be one badass team up.

I also can't wait to see how poor Desmond is hold up. I feel bad for the guy 8(

I was a bit disappointed in Brotherhood, to tell the truth. I felt like it was just an expansion pack for AC2 and I wasn't entirely sure why I paid $60 for it. So I'm guarded about Revelations. The cynic in me thinks this is just an attempt to milk as much money from the fans as possible. Ezio was popular? Great, we'll make more games about him even though his character arc wrapped up neatly in AC2. *sigh*

Super pumped, as usual. I'm excited to see the end of Ezio and Altair's stories.

The yearly model works really well for AC. They got a solid gameplay system and the story's many cliffhangers create tension and hold it for the right amount of time.
