10)Call of Duty: World at War. I love the single player, even though we do know how it ends, and I love Nazi zombies to itty bitty pieces, just like the rest of the world.

9)STALKER: Clear Sky. I also love this game, but it's not my favorite for one reason: bugs. The game's bugged up the ass, but it still is one of my all time favorites, despite it's massive amount of crashes.

8)DOOM. Not DOOM 3, but the old DOOM. Maybe it's because it was before my time, but I can't help but have more fun than possible for a game this old with this game. But hey, I guess he is one doomed space marine.

7)Mirror's Edge. I have never seen a better platformer game. The game starts off fun, and stays fun all the way through. I don't care what Yatzhee says, you're still a great game.

6)Duke Nukem 3D. This was actually the very first shooter I have ever played, and it's kept it's place in my heart as an absolutely great game. The game wasn't trying to be any better than it could be, and it worked with what it had to create America's real hero, Duke Nukem. Because nobody steals our chicks and lives.

5)Toy Soldiers and Shadow complex. What can I say about these two games? They both have a great setting, one in the trenches of WWI (a very underused, yet compelling area to base a game) and one in the mountains of Washington state (hey, it's different at the least), both of stunning visuals (for an XBLA game, anyway), and they both of good gameplay, despite their low price and budget, so they both snag the number five spot.

4)Dark Sector. I have no idea why this game suddenly dropped off the radar after it's release, as it's actually pretty fun. The guns aren't really anything new (the choices being "magnum, pistol, burst pistol, rapid fire pistol, shotgun pistol, machine gun, better machine gun, shotgun, and better shotgun), but the Glave is a neat concept, and it really is used to it's best effect. I just hope that, if they make a sequel, that we get that sword the second to last boss was using.

3)Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. Now, I am not that much of a fan of the MGS game series. In fact, I have some complaints right here: you don't have to ever be stealthy, stealth is actually so easy because of the guards stupidity that you could probably go through the entire game with only crouching when you have to anyway, the story is everywhere, and most of the boss battles are either "shoot, hide, shoot, repeat" or "walk, die, revive", but I still love MGS3. Why? Because it does away with most of the story of the other two games, being stealthy requires some actual though, and you actually have to be stealthy some times to make it past guards and other enemies without being torn fifty new ones. Sure, you could grab the M-6O and go Reb Brown on the Russian's furry white asses, but it's far more fun to sneak through the jungle and lay down traps and ambushes to take down your enemy.

2)Fallout 3. Now, this game is basically trying to be STALKER, but set in fifties America. But it has one thing above it: FAR fewer bugs. Now, my copy of this game s actually shot to hell for no apparent reason, but I still remmeber loving wondering through the wasteland, finding little things I missed here and there that make the game so special. All in all, this easily deserves the place as my almost favorite game.

1)Call of Duty: Big Red One. This game kicks ass. Despite being an early Call of Duty game, this game actually makes you feel for the characters. such as at one point, you storm into a building and
The comic relief, Brooklyn, gets mowed down by a Nazi machine gunner.
It was at this point I was thoroughly pissed, took out my special occasions 30 cal. machine gun and proceeded to lay waist to every German in a two mile radius. I felt good for avenging the death of a character who I personally liked, and it was that connection and subsequent loss that made this game shine for me.
