Your pet hate in songs

Mine is quite simple and yet very common; when either the lead or back up singer says "Yeah" and worse when they go "Yeah, yeah, yeah!".

As you can tell straight away I despise "Yeah!" by Usher with the burning intensity of 1000 desert suns.

(Ironically, i hate it the same amount of suns as I have posts. woohoo (!)...

So do you have a pet hate in songs?

As odd as it sounds, swearing just seems to stand out in songs for me and disrupt them...it's rare I find a song that can actually make it flow.

my pet hates are people screaming down the mic, sounding like summit from Jurassic park.

i can tolerate it lightly, like with red jumpsuit apparatus, but that's about as heavy as i go, me im more of a charty person, although if given songs to search for, will search em and see if they are any good.

I agree with OP, i hate it when bands or singers replace lyrics with woah or yeh or la. Its just lazy, irritating writing.

Also metalcore riffs in standard 4/4 and bloody Londoner/southerner singing.

yeah... call me camp, but when I first heard Your beautiful by james blunt on the radio, there was a line which went:

"And I was (pause) flying high"

in the cd version

"and i was (even longer pause) FUCKING high" seriously, it sticks out WAAAY too much in that song.
